I thought you couldn't get into Spain without vaccination?
That’s right unless you can prove recovery from covid in last 6 months. I’m fully vaccinated & boosted & just take it for granted most people ate, especially if we all want to travel again.

And for some countries good amounts of the population get denied visas and will never get to visit America. We take it for granted we can go whenever we want within reason. And Europe is not open for business. Aren't restrictions still in France, Spain, Germany etc? We are open but the rest not so much perhaps.
Depends what you mean on restrictions? Mask wearing / proving vaccination status ?? I’ve been to Spain last month & just needed to fill their health form in & wear a mask indoors (which by the way has now been abolished). i’m going to Majorca next weekend & again just need to fill a form in & wear a mask on flight (Easyjet policy)
europe & UK very much open & free to travel- 1

We shouldn't be moaning too much. The UK probably shouldn't be on the visa waiver program and you wouldn't like if it wasn't. I would never get a visa if it wasn't I don't think with my knowledge of immigration matters.
Whose moaning?? Not me! Just saying Europe is open but like lots of countries with forms to fill in. Visas have been around a long time & have always formed part of international travel.

The best to all and thanks. As a result I cancelled my transatlantic on Norwegian this coming weekend. I have done mote than 55 cruises and decided it wasn’t worth it. Each EU country is developing their own criteria. It is very true you may not get off without prior authorization. I have a feeling the EU isn’t what it was before Covid. Crumbling a bit after Brexit and Covid. Mike
I’m sorry but Europe is not “crumbling a bit” - Europe is very much open for travel. I live in the UK & everyone is free to travel in Europe & vice versa. Its true that most countries require some proof of vaccination and/or completing a form BUT this goes for the rest of the world as well, including the US. We’ve got to jump through hoops as well to come to US to board a ship. Unfortunately the way of the world at the moment for travelling. Please don’t be put off coming to Europe, which is very much open

If that is the case....then don't sail. Very simple solution.

Sorry!! Why should I not sail? I simply stated for passengers mental health in dealing with that situation a balcony would help.

Not frightened of catching it at all. In the U.K. there is no isolation if you catch it or restrictions as the majority of cases here are sore throats and colds.
I’d be more worried about isolation in an inside cabin than catching it tbh.Exactly!!! Its the thought of being in a cabin that you can’t get out of, just technically being in a balcony cabin would so help your mental health in dealing with that situation.

Yes, but the US still requires a negative test to fly home. One has to test negative or have a certificate of recovery. While the UK may not require quarantine, the effect is the same as long as the negative test requirement is in place. Not confined but still can’t leave - at least by air.So it appears that jetblue may, indeed, be on his own to sort it out. An interesting turn of events for others who may be depending on the assistance plan.
You can get Covid tests at Heathrow so can get fit to fly docs. I would have thought if you bought flight with Celebrity would they not assist ?

I wanted to share my experience today in trying to use the celebrity approved Novica tests today
I received 3 tests and tried to use these for my cruise tommorow. However all 3 scanned in the app as already used or expired. With the customer service being unable to assist with what occurred
I then had to run around pretty much all of NYC to find a testing place that could do my tests. Which thankfully I did
Moral of the story have a back up for the tele health/supervised antigen test
🙈🙈where in NYC did you find as we need to test when in NYC to board summit (coming from UK) - thanks

Nothing official I can find - where you seen this posted, be interested to know so can amend trips etc. Thanks

Lets hope they change our sailing on 23rd May as well - take some of the stress out of this cruise!!

Not sure I’d cope in an inside cabin, I’d certainly feel “trapped”. I’ve got a balcony next month which is one of tge reasons i booked that to avoid that situation. Really cant see why they are moving you. Its well known being in fresh air is better, you can’t tell me someone could catch it from sitting on the balcony next to you, quite unlikely. I’ve had covid (double jabbed/boosted) at xmas & i’ve had worse colds. Wish u speedy recovery

39 days till our cruise leaves to Bermuda & I wish Celebrity would get their act together & just inform people of what is going to happen re tests onboard. As it stands coming from the UK for this cruise we are having to do 3 Covid tests within a week - to fly/to get onboard/to get off in Bermuda 🙈nerves are jangling!!

We sail out of New York in Summit after flying in from London. There are mobile test sites - CTS Mobile - around the city that do antigen tests & email tou the results. Are these acceptable by Celebrity do you think?

We will be flying to Newark on the 22nd, I am sure many others will be early as well. Could arrange to buy the online tests to pass on to you… Or you could ask someone on the roll call to purchase, then forward to you via your NYC hotel.
Thanks for kind offer not too sure if tests have to be bought in yr name etc. I might come back to you on that. I’ve emailed the test company to see if UK residents can use these 🤞

Hi all we fly to NYC for a few days b4 boarding for our cruise on 23rd May on Summit. Been stressing re tests b4 we board as our test to fly will be out of date (4 nights in NYC) we can’t use tests on Celebrity website as only post to US address. I’ve found CTS Mobile Testing who are around NYC - hoping we can use them as non-US residents. Anyone know/heard of them & OK to use? Thanks

Reflection itinerary as ports you can do so much from. Naples you gave choice of Amalfi coast / Pompeii / Capri - all beautiful. Santa Margherita you can get the boat round to Portofino (which is only way to arrive there!). Nice is stunning to walk around & one choice u have is to get train to Monaco (great train service along the french coast as well to say Cannes / Antibes). 1 night each in Rome / Barcelona not enough - maybe decide to do 2 nights in one or the other (Rome is stunning) hope that helps
