So Princess no longer offers comprehensive Vacation Protection insurance covering trip cancellation and medical coverage to certain US states and Canadian provinces for the Sept 25/2024 Mediterranean cruise. I could not get a clear answer from our vacation planner as to why Princess has taken this position. Princess does offer an expensive "waiver" to address trip cancellation but with no medical protection. I have two questions; 1) what is your understanding of what is behind this ? 2) what are people doing to provide medical coverage ? Travelinsurance.com offers a variety of underwriter packages but many exclude New York and other states as well as British Columbia and sometimes all of Canada.

Pity about the o/n change. Honolulu at night makes for some great photos. Hilo not so much.
