We board the Discovery this Sunday, and I am secretly hoping we swap Skagway for Sitka. I’ve been to Skagway three times now and, while I do genuinely feel bad for the townsfolk, once was enough for me. It has always been my least favorite of the Alaska ports. I’ve never been to Sitka and would actually be quite pleased to see it - even if it means we lose our wildlife sanctuary tour scheduled for Skagway.
