We just did an upgrade from regular balcony to forward facing club balcony on the Prima. Tried searching for actual reviews/experiences on Prima forward facing cabins and didn’t find much. I know @BirdTravelshad one in October but didn’t see Bird’s opinion on cabin in that review. For those of you that have experienced Prima’s FF cabins, would love to hear your opinion on them. Specifically: 1) on open seas how was the rock/roll being far forward, 2) did you find the “dark cabin” requirements easy to accept, 3) we don’t have a corner cabin, so total wind exposure…on sea days is it still possible to sit on the balcony (recognizing much depends on the conditions). We’re doing NYC to Bermuda end of April. 4) did it feel like you walked forever to get from cabin to forward elevator? Curious minds want to know how you rated the experience. Thanks!!

So a few to consider. Bloody Mary, straight Champagne or Prosecco…and the Prosecco is part of UDP—assuming no supply chain issues. You can also ask to substitute a sugar packet (4 grams of sugar) for the one ounce simple syrup (14 grams per ounce) to reduce some sugar. Mojitos are actually pretty good without the simple syrup. Gin and vodka gimlets with sugar packet. Tequila shots with salt and lime (from the 70’s…haha). For your vodka and soda, add a squirt of cranberry and heavy lime squeeze. Cheers🥂

For me, Red Eyes are the worst…lol. Based on what I’m seeing here…I think we’ll take our time getting off and get an airport hotel for the night for an early flight back to ATL. The Red Eye for international travel is doable since you’re arriving to an amazing destination…but a red eye back to routine…hard pass!! to the OP…thank you for sharing your experience today so others, like myself, can make better decisions for our return travel…but sorry you had such an extended chaotic disembarkation.

Thought about that, too…which may be the direction we’re heading since we fly LAX to east coast.
-
Also, your comment has helped me make a decision for our future Bliss cruise. I’ve been looking at LAX flights with a 11:15 am departure time…and if we decide on that…we def need to do self assist walkoff…which we’ve never done before.

I wonder if the switch to DST created some absenteeism or tardiness with the CBP agents…you know…forgot to set the alarm clock forward. Hope this is just a glitch.

# of days till your next Norwegian cruise?
laudergayle replied to Vettebuf's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I only wish our cruises were some of yours…1) you’re destinations are on my bucket list, and 2) I’d love the pleasure to have a first drink on you. My offer to buy the second round still stands. Happy sailing my friend😊 -
# of days till your next Norwegian cruise?

Inquiring minds are curious. Why did you give us your countdown? Lol. Enjoy your cruises 😍 -
So, here’s our funny story. We bought our first house together based on the large soaking tub. We knew two adults could fit comfortably…and imagined the nights in a huge bubble bath. In hind site…it was probably a 4 person tub. Shortly upon moving in…we discovered the hot water heater could only adequately fill the tub about 1/4-1/3 full. Needless to say, the tub became a dust collector and we moved on.

We were successful in getting Posh passes…but they went quickly. We were around 4th in line and the people ahead of us were all getting passes. In fact two people were at the counter and their friends jumped the line and got passes. It’s a very controlled process…only one Guest Service rep can access the system at a time. I believe we got the last two passes. Your extended family will have to be with you as they need their key card scanned for payment. From what I could tell it was a 1:1 relationship (1 pass per person). I believe your non Haven family will want to be as far up front in the general boarding chairs, so that 9:15-9:30 arrival at pier would be their target time. also, the boarding went so quickly once they started…there were people in the Haven area still waiting for their escort. I guess another option would be for you get to the desk as quick as possible, tell them how many you need…the GSR will pull the passes while the others catch up and jump line. Good luck!!

And Haven has their own entrance I believe it’s to the right of the regular entrance.

# of days till your next Norwegian cruise?
laudergayle replied to Vettebuf's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
50 days till Prima to Bermuda…and 49 days till another dinner at Carmines NYC (I know it’s touristy…but that’s the fun). And 49 days till we get a contact high in Times Square. 🤪 -
11:00 - 11:30 is the earliest checkin time for San Juan pier. But if you want to board early get to the pier around 9:30. They let people inside the building through security until the chairs are full. Then everyone else has to wait outside until boarding begins—which started around 11:15. For our 2/5 sailing the building was full by 10. Also, they only priority board Haven and special needs. Everyone else boards based on their chairs…front to back. We loved the cruise…hope yours is an enjoyable.

Sweet. Congrats on achieving such a prestigious status.

What ships would you say have the best pools? Any indoor?
laudergayle replied to kaz828's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Check out the Epic…they had two family pools and an adult pool in Spice H20 (deck 15). We actually preferred the family pools as kids take up much less space than adults…lol. There is also a kids park for younger kids. They have 4-5 hot tubs in family area and I believe one in Spice H20. However, the most fun on the Epic is the water slides. We’re old folks/young hearts…and enjoyed the slides…especially the Epic plunge swirly slide. Also…LOTS of lounge chairs…even on a full occupancy sailing. interestingly, when we sailed the Bliss in May to Alaska, there were people in the pool…as they were heated. -
If only that were true!! How fortunate you didn’t get DUCed. Were you in a suite or Haven…as we’ve not received complimentary sparkling for Latitudes recognition—ended in Jan 2022.
-
Interestingly, we were on the Epic in February and they were passing off the sparkling wine (DUC) they give complimentary in certain cabin types as Prosecco. Def not Prosecco. Sure hope this is a blip and not a switch.

Am I considered a Casino At Seas member?
laudergayle replied to laudergayle's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Thanks..I guess it makes sense that CAS checkin would be for their bookings. Someone bumped an older thread today that answered some of my other questions. -
As posted recently, several members had a designation added to their account profile. Mine was JADE. On our February cruise I inquired at the casino what this meant. I was told that as soon as I ran my card in one of the machines it would activate my account. Questions. 1) I swiped my cabin card to play…was this the card he was referencing or was I supposed to get a different CAS card. 2) if indeed my cabin card activated my CAS Jade status, on our next cruise can we checkin at the CAS window. 3) Besides priority checkin, do you get priority boarding? Thanks for any insight.
