Sounds like indeed you experienced a great service by Celebrity!
So far not only we didn't hear from them (as promised) , but they also did not answer (or even acknowledged) my mail - nor returned our TA's calls .
So thanks for giving us some hope! We can still hope that we'll hear from them soon..😃
I’m guessing based on Covid rates rising that there may be more infections and quarantines on the ships and hence, a higher volume for these reimbursements and a delay in processing them- 1

My hearing has gotten bad enough that I prefer a table for two. Tables for 4 are awkward and any more than that it becomes difficult for me to carry on a conversation. Getting old ain't for sissies.
I am exactly the same way. I wear hearing aids but they don’t do well with a lot of background noise. They have a background noise feature but it doesn’t work as well as it should. I just get frustrated trying to listen to soft talkers and end up nodding a lot pretending to hear

Your bad attitude that you have for the other 50 weeks a year that you have when you’re working and not cruising

There is a line from a Rush song called Limelight that I think captures this for me
“I can’t pretend this stranger is a long awaited friend”.
I really don’t mind meeting new people at a meal but does it has to be the same people
every night. Why can’t they set up a system much like breakfast where you get seated with different people randomly.
We’ve met a lot of people over the years but have never made lifelong friends that we stay in touch with after the cruise. And we probably never will.

We used to love cruising and sharing a table and meeting new people and sharing stories of our days at dinner
After a while it became a crap shoot and mostly we got stuck with people that made dinner miserable for various reasons
1) the worst is we were seated with travel agents on a free cruise and they complained about everything (going to dinner was like going to the dentist)
2) we also got paired with a much much younger couple and had nothing in common . They were nice enough people but making conversation at dinner was torchere
Now we either just get a table for 2 or try to plan cruises with friends or family

Was wondering if when Princess sails to Roatan, do they stop
at Mahogany Bay (Carnival port) or the normal port (called Coxen Hole)?

I don't think anyone on a cruise would self-isolate; they may go get tested the last day, but no one on this forum is going to voluntarily isolate.
I think it’s the morally right thing to do to self isolate but agree many may not do that unless there was compensation for lost cruise days

Starting to think about booking for Jan 2024 Caribbean cruise and Princess is in the mix but don’t see that they’ve released any of their 2024 itineraries as yet
Does anyone know when these will be released to the public ?

Once you are isolated, you are no longer a "paying customer".
Explain please

Great news and sounds like everyone ok and on their way back to Florida
Just wondering though that as horrific as this looked, was anyone really shocked that this happened at all. Just wondering with the age of these ships and perhaps cutting maintenance budgets, that you kind of wondered if this was inevitable ?

CDC’s COVID-19 Program for Cruise Ships is no longer in effect
in Celebrity Cruises

I agree and wonder if they do away with testing, I hope they make it mandatory for people to be vaccinated before they board as a minimum
