  1. A lot of great information on this. Will check the options mentioned and forgot that purchasing on ship, if I decide to, will be tax free.
  2. For some reason the bangle bracelet isn’t an option to order. I can order a necklace (gold or silver) or two different types of sport bands.
  3. Thanks. Great information and good to know that others have used these without issue. South Western had the option to use their app for the tickets or pick up at station but couldn’t get past the account creation. But I have read that if you find away around the account creation you can’t use the app. Will look into LNER GWP and Avanti.
  4. Staying within walking distance of Waterloo Station so decided to take the train to Southampton Central. Not traveling until a Sunday in April and the discount tickets have not opened up yet but wanted to be ready to purchase. National Railway directs me to South Western Rail to purchase tickets but need to create an account. Their site won't let me create an account unless I have a UK address (I live in Canada). Searched this forum and found others that couldn't create an account so suggested buying the tickets at the station but then they would be full fair tickets. Have found other ticket companies - Avanti West Coast, GWR (Great Western Railway), London NorthWest Railway and LNER (London North Eastern Railway). Looks like can purchase and pick up the tickets at the station. Any experience using any of these?
  5. I already wear seabands and an apple watch so not sure if I have room for a bracelet, although I really like them. Going on a 7 night cruise and if we like it another 7 night for next year so don't want to spend alot. Might just go with the necklace and switch to a lanyard when off the ship.
  6. Looking to order my medallion and looking at accessories. Have another cruise booked for next year so thought I might order the necklace. Not sure how this would work if I have to place the medallion on anything or tap to use it. I see that my door would open if I am just near it but what about getting back on the ship from an excursion or if I want to order a drink at a bar, or purchase something in a shop.
  7. Yes preference was a regular mini suite but all are only guarantee rooms. Cabana is different but think I would rather just have a larger room for the three of us so forced into a reserve mini suite on deck 15. Worried about motion being that high up. Have a cruise this April on deck 12 so will know more how I handle the motion after that. Has been 10 years since on a cruise always a mid ship balcony
  8. Perfect, think that is what I will do. Since the deposit is refundable and only 100 per person then I can wait and choose once the ship has started sailing.
  9. I'm fine with putting down a deposit as it is refundable and then cancel the one I don't want as its not until April 2025. Hard to decide when no one has been on this ship yet.
  10. One thing to add, the cabana suite that I have is on deck 11 on the sphere part so no issues with people walking by as shown in another video on the site.
  11. Have a cruise booked for April 2025 on the Sun in a cabana mini suite. I really only want a mini suite but those are only available as a reserve, can't pick my cabin, and not available for 3 people. I booked a Cabana mini suite on deck 11. I would rather have a room where the sofa (sofa bed) was further from the bed and from videos looks like the closet space will be between the bed and the sofa. While the cabana would be nice as a separate space for relaxing and TV. Reserve works out to be about $500 or so more but is on deck 15. Still mid ship but worried about motion. As the deposit is only $100 per person and refundable thinking of making a second booking but don't know if it would cause issues.
  12. I didn't get any email that I was paid in full, but under payments shows zero balance owing and under travel summary shows balance due as $0.00.

  14. I can see it all now. Requirements for the new App were given to both the Development and Testing teams and asked for a launch date. The date was given and upper management cut it in half and made an announcement on the launch date they wanted. Marketing then added new requirements during the build and testing phases. Upper management then asked the Development and Testing managers what was needed to keep their launch date. As a Testing manager living through many of these types of projects my answer became either a Time Machine or a Delorean. That is why I am now retired and cruising......
  15. I just had a similar situation. Called for a reprice that I had found. Called Princess and the person on the phone said there was an additional promo and the price came in about 600.00 less than I thought it would be. I am close to final payment so figured I would pay prior to the holidays. Received the confirmation with the new prices and showing fully paid. Looked yesterday and I owed about 600.00 more. The price difference that this person found with a promo code. Good thing I looked as no one called and said that it was priced in error.
  16. Good to know. I wondered the reason for a CVP. Had issues years ago with a TA and missed a special as they were unavailable. Have called Princess a few times lately and yes, very hard to understand what they were saying and the information they were giving me was wrong. I told one today that he was wrong but that I would call back and get someone else, hung up, called back and they were able to do what I wanted.
  17. App says no packages, going to Personaliser is wrong for me. Shows I purchased Plus but booked as Premier. My printed travel summary shows Premier. Tried to book an excursion on the website and wouldn't let me checkout and pay, kept saying it timed out. Logged out logged back in same thing. Tried the app and was able to pay. Wow, who tests this stuff before pushing it out to production ( I'm a recently retired IT Testing Manager).
  18. Yes, have Premier so should have 4 credits, 2 for 1st and 2nd guest. App thinks I still have a credit, will check when on board.
  19. What I can't figure out one is 8:30 - 2:00 and one is 8:30 - 2:30, one is 109 and one is 149. No additional info in the description. I'll call princess and see if they have any info other than reading off the description. I booked a wine tasting in Bordeaux and the morning tour was cheaper than the afternoon, that made sense.
  20. I would call back again. I don't have air but I had the cruise repriced removing the charge for the 3rd person. Same booking number. The next day I realized there is also a room upgrade promotion, I down graded my mini suite (by moving forward about 4 cabins) and saved another 500.00. Again, kept the same booking number, also kept excursions and dinners that were booked.
  21. In April will be on the Sky with a day in Cherbourg France. Looking at excursions and there is an excursion listed for 5.5 hours as Cotentin D-Day Landing Sites. Question is there are two options but doesn't say what the difference is. 8:30 - 2:00 for 109.00 per adult or 8:30 - 2:30 for 149.00 per adult. In the Excursion Details there is nothing listed as being different and the times add up to the 5.5 hours. How would I found out the details. Don't want to wait until on the ship to book.
  22. The 3rd person was free on our sailing in a mini suite, I had to go through as if I was booking to see the details. I usually check daily for any price differences and noticed the drop of over 900.00. Then called and had ours refared with the 3rd person free.
  23. It just started today. Not all cruises are included. Mine was!! Called and had a refare. Since the price didn’t go up on the first and second passages saved over 900.00.
  24. Yesterday when I booked, two nights for three of us, nothing posted. Wasn't till later when I changed the date that I came up that I would be charged for two, showed the amount and did post to credit card. Early today when it said I had credits, showed I would be charged for 1 dinner, didn't take it all the way through to confirm. Just now when I tried, it would charge me for 3, again didn't take it all the way to confirm. Wonky sites I guess. I probably will book another night anyway.
