  1. For our cruise coming up the beginning of April out of Southamption, all ship excursions have jumped in price. None are selling out and most still have the usual listed 20 spaces available. I only booked a few small excursions ranging in price from 99.95 to 139.95 for Bordeaux, Cherbourg and disembarking excursion to Stonehedge/airport All are now 35 - 45 dollars more per person and there are three of us. One that I had looked at but was out of my price range jumped from 349 to 459 - crazy.
  2. I know I can have price adjustments should the price of the cruise drop with my non refundable deposit up until final payment, but yes, a cancel and rebook would be subject to 100.00 pp charge. Not that much in savings then since there are three of us in the cabin. I'm going to keep what I have and just keep watching for drops in price, if any, for the all included price. Thanks for all of the comments/advice. Its been 10 years since I last cruised and so much has changed.
  3. Crunched all the numbers - The All Included package is cheaper using the regular drink package price. The Cruise Only adding the on sale drink package for all and 1 WIFI is cheaper. When booking Cruise Only and then purchasing a drink package, do I have to pay for the drink package up front (like shore excursions) or is it rolled into the price of the cruise. Having to reprice from All Included to Cruise only and if having to pay immediately for the drink package for three people over a year away, the savings aren't worth it.
  4. My daughter doesn't drink alcohol so figured I had to keep her on the same package as us
  5. I booked an All Included cruise for 2025 with a non-refundable deposit. I do want the drink package for all three of us in the room, what I don't need is WIFI for all three of us. I only need 1 sign-on. My adult daughter may use it once and a while and I would use it once in a while to check e-mails. Usually buying packaged is always cheaper than buying separately. When looking at my cruise it shows I can upgrade to the premium drink package, which I may do but I also saw the price of the drink packages not as an upgrade. There seems to be a special on right now of about 25%. When it shows the price of the drink package per person per night, do I then have to add 20% to the package - example - if showing 85.00 per night (this is in Canadian dollars) is the price actually 102.00 per night. Without the sale, the All Included is cheaper.
  6. The restrictions now begin January 2026 so 2025 will be the last year unless the ship has zero emissions. Will have to start a roll call for this cruise!
  7. Be careful. I added the premium package for the third person in the cabin. After being on hold for 30 mins they came back with a much lower price than I expected. They said it was a promo code. I was still two weeks out from final payment and paid online to be sure there were no issues with final payment. Good thing I checked my reservation prior to final payment as it showed I still owed money. I checked and they changed the price for the premium package to what it should have been without telling me. My reservation was showing final payment not paid. I paid it and my reservation is confirmed. The call centre is ridiculous. I had another cruise for next year and called to have the premium package added again for the third and was told itโ€™s already included, I know itโ€™s not. Hung up called back and was told the third person canโ€™t buy the premium package. Hung up and third time I was able to add it. Not happy at all with Princess due to the call centre.
  8. Made my decision Option 2 - . Liked the ports - Geiranger and for my Husband the train at Flam sealed the deal
  9. Made my decision, Option 2 - liked the dates and the ports
  10. Read through all of the posts in this thread. Wow - so many options. Trying to decide on a cruise for 2025. Not loyal to any one company, last cruise was 2015 with Celebrity (3 with them), 2009 Norwegian Hawaii cruise, Princess - cruising from Southampton in April this year to Spain and France. Didn't realize there were so many options. Main purpose of the cruise is to see the Fjords, will find something to do at the various ports. From Canada so used to the cold, don't like it but used to it. Options for 2025 1. Princess - April 26 - May 3rd - Southampton, Sea Day, Haugesund, Skjolden/Sognefjord, Olden, Stravanger, Sea Day, Southampton - Best price for 3 adults in the room, booked with a refundable deposit 2. Celebrity - May 10 - May 17 - Southampton, Sea Day, Nordfjordeid, Flam, Geiranger, Sea Day, Bruges, Southampton. - Higher price, includes both Flam and Geiranger, like that it is mid May but don't think there will be much of a difference in the three cruises. Non-refundable deposit unless paying 1,400 CDN more for the refundable option. 3. Celebrity - May 3 - May 10 - Southampton, Sea Day, Bruges, Olden, Flam, Bergen, Sea Day, Southampton - Both Celebrity cruises similar in price, includes Olden, Flam and Bergen. Non-refundable deposit unless paying 1,400 CDN more.
  11. Didn't realize there were so many options, noticed the Norwegian Fjords topic at the top of this page so will post this there also. Main purpose of the cruise is to see the Fjords, will find something to do at the various stops. Options for 2025 1. Princess - April 26 - May 3rd - Southampton, Sea Day, Haugesund, Skjolden/Sognefjord, Olden, Stravanger, Sea Day, Southampton - Best price for 3 adults in the room, booked with a refundable deposit 2. 12. Being from Canada I am used to the cold, don't like it but am used to it. Main focus of this cruise would be the sailing through the fjords. Watched some videos of the sailing of Skjolden/Sogenfjord and Olden. Glad to hear that the Skylift would be open - was worried early in the season it wouldn't be. Like to walk/hike so will look into hiking at the other ports. This cruise is with princess and put down a refundable deposit so can always cancel. There will be three of us (my adult daughter is coming) and Princess had a good price with 3rd person free. Celebrity has a good itinerary including Olden, Flam and Bergen or one with Flam and Geiranger but no Olden but prices for Celebrity are much more especially with a refundable deposit and paying for the 3rd passenger. Will keep an eye out on the prices should they change.
  13. I would prefer to travel in the summer - July, but due to vacation scheduling for 2025, an April 26 cruise may be the only one that works. Sky Princess 7 night sailing from Southampton. Is this too early in the season to go? Other option would be to wait until 2026
  14. After travelling together for two weeks including 7 nights in a cabin together just might want to eat solo one night ๐Ÿ˜
  15. Oh well, guess will eat solo one day. Thanks
  16. Will be on the SKY princess and have the Premier package. I love sushi and my husband hates it. Is takeout available in both of these? That way I can have sushi and husband can have Alfredo's pizza.
  17. Agreed, a lot of research is required if planning a London Pass. They make it look great but impossible to save as much as they say within the timeframe. For transportation the HOHO Bus and the Ubber Boats are not the way to get around. Walking or the tube is required. Figured out my "must dos" and will save money with what I have planned. Especially since I can buy the Go City pass here in Canada at Costco saving even more.
  18. I will post how things went, I have received so much help on this site I will be glad to help others. My first time for London also. Staying 3 nights in London, taking the train from Waterloo station, spending one night in South Hampton and then boarding the Sky Princess. Best to wait for the cheap tickets to be available, was 41.00 and yesterday the cheap tickets were posted for my April 7th trip. I did sign up to be notified, but did check daily. I love planning for a trip almost as much as taking one. My current obsession is planning my days in London. Will be purchasing a London Pass to cram as much as I can in to the time I have.
  19. Just booked my cheap tickets for Sunday April 7 for my April 8 cruise. Purchased on LNER site. Registered and super easy have my tickets emailed as pdfs. Think it was 9.30 per person.
  20. Was worried about walking across Westminster bridge with luggage that is why I was I was looking at Waterloo stop. Figure by the time we land and clear customs will be about 10:30 am. Other thing with the flight and time change will running on no sleep for 24 hours by then. Not expecting to be able to sleep much on the flight. Adrenaline will be high as have always wanted to visit London.
  21. Planes, trains and automobiles...... Flying from Canada to Heathrow and staying at the Park Plaza Westminster bridge. Three adults each with a large suitcase and a carry on. Trying to find the best way from Terminal 2 to our hotel while also trying to find a cheap way (low Canadian dollar value not helping). Easiest would be a car service - Hotel quoted 145 pounds, Blackberry Cars 114, Jewel's 80. How are these and are there others that I should look at? Also looked at Heathrow express but goes to Paddington and then need the tube from there to probably Waterloo station (Westminster says it has stairs). National Express Bus - to Victoria station and then tube again. Cheapest seems to be tube from Heathrow Piccadilly line to Green Park station and then Jubilee line to Waterloo or Westminster. Also see there is an Elizabeth line from Heathrow but Hotel website lists Piccadilly line instructions. At least for my cruise getting to Southampton seems straight forward using the train from Waterloo station.

  23. A lot of great information on this. Will check the options mentioned and forgot that purchasing on ship, if I decide to, will be tax free.
  24. For some reason the bangle bracelet isnโ€™t an option to order. I can order a necklace (gold or silver) or two different types of sport bands.
