  1. Just got off 2 weeks on Allure. Neither of our balcony cabins for the first leg had ottomans, just 2 chairs and a table. Our Junior Suites for the second leg were different. Cabin 1: 2 chairs, 1 table, 1 lounger, 1 ottoman Cabin 2: 2 chairs, 1 table, 2 loungers, no ottomans
  2. On Oasis class ships, there are two "depths" of ocean-facing balconies. There are the standard ones, that have two wall panels separating you from the adjacent balcony, and then there are the ones where the ship bumps out for 6-8 cabins. Those have three panels. In either case, one of the panels can be unlocked and folded back by your room steward if you are travelling together. From all the videos I've seen, only the "three panel" balconies have lounge chairs or regular chairs with ottomans. The "two panel" balconies have just regular chairs. For our B2B on the Allure this weekend, we booked oceanview balconies for the first leg, and junior suites for the second, carefully choosing specific rooms with "three panel" balconies for both.
  3. Our flight leaves today, but lands very early tomorrow, and we sail on Saturday. So we can't test until we are already there. We just did home tests (all negative, of course) about an hour ago, 🤞 we have the same results for the real thing tomorrow morning. So the months of unnecessary stress ends in less than 18 hours....
  4. Pre-downloading the classes is a great idea, but you have to have internet to start them. You don't need a connection to continue watching, but the app checks your subscription status before it starts the video.
  5. To clarify, we ate in at Izumi. I'm sure you can carry out (especially now that it's a prix fixe), but I haven't done it. It was just the burgers we took to the pool.
  6. Formal statement is up: On July 18, the U.S. CDC announced that the COVID-19 Program for Cruise Ships is no longer in effect. Going forward, the CDC will continue to publish guidance for the cruise industry. We are waiting for these revised recommendations, which we expect in the coming days. Upon review, we will adjust our current protocols and provide guidance to our guests. For now, our current protocols remain in effect for cruises departing U.S. homeports.
  7. 150 Central Park was our favorite by far on Oasis. For our upcoming cruise on Allure, we're initially planning on doing that every other day unless something else really wows us. For lunch, carryout burger/fries from Chops to be eaten down by the pool is our favorite, with sushi at Izumi a close second.
  8. Yep, you could actually watch the change in real time. Widespread $13 drinks were first introduced on the Oasis class, with the rest of the fleet staying at $12 for a while longer. The DBP we bought at that time literally said it covered drinks on Oasis class ships up to $13 each, but only $12 on ships of any other class.
  9. When we first checked into our cruise for July 23rd on the Allure, 1pm was the earliest available arrival time, so I selected that for myself, and it auto-selected for the other three people in my party (two different staterooms, linked reservations). As suggested, I've been looking each day for an earlier one to pop up. Yesterday apparently two slots became available for Noon. After figuring this out and doing some flipping, here's where the times stand: Cabin 1: 12pm, 2:30pm Cabin 2: 12pm, 1pm If we all arrive together, will we all be let in at the same time, or will they force the second passenger in each cabin to wait?
