I realize Emerald doesn't control river levels but a $1500 bus trip is not the $6000+ trip I paid for. I understand the need to be flexible, but '. . .. Too bad we aren't given the option to cancel. I am traveling on my own to Regensburg, if the cruise doesn't start there I hope I have lead time to find a way to the new starting point.

Does this mean that is you traveling independently you just have to get to Regensburg and Viking will transport you to Passau? Or are you on your own to get to Passau?

PhD-iva: how did you get to Engelhartszell? Were you transferred from Munich Airport or Regensburg by Emerald? It does not look straightforward on public transport from MUC.

First river cruise coming up: Emerald's Danube Delights on the Emerald Destiny. We want to see Vienna on our own and are wondering when ships typically dock and passengers can get off so we can make plans for timed tickets, etc. The previous day will be at Durnstein; can I assume the ship will get to Vienna overnight and we can go ashore first thing in the morning? Thanks for your help.
