  1. I hear ya. Just play around with it and discover. I don't think you can break anything. For me, the fun is finding out new features that I didn't know exists and there are a lot of helpful people in this forum. When you first login, at the bottom of the screen you will see the buttons for "Dining", "Excursions", "Beverages", and so on. Tap the "Dining" button and pick the venue(s) you want. If you scroll down to the bottom of the description of the venue, it MAY have the option to see the full and current menu. It's been a while for me so I'm not too sure what if any has changed. Good luck and most of all, ENJOY THE CRUISE!
  2. When is your cruise? It may, I say again may be too early to post detailed menus. I don't cruise until Jan 2024 and it doesn't show any menu, even for the Specialty restaurants, just general descriptions.
  3. Hey Hey Hey. I'm a card-carrying gold-plated Pinnacle, Star Class, block on the coffee table/mantle, member of the Britsh Royalty, and a nobody. I resent any and all comments about me. And get off my lawn. Disclosure: I have nothing against any of the above. In fact, I aspire to be a Pinnacle one day. But, at 71 and with limited resources, I don't think I'll make it. I am doing the "nobody" very well, though.
  4. If there is that much, which I doubt, that the island couldn't store it, my guess is that they would just move it to the "leeward" side and let the wind blow it away/out to sea from the island.
  5. My wife and I have always wanted to try one. But, we almost always cruise with other folks and share cabins with them and they don't want to do the interior. We've only done two cruises with just the two of us and the balcony deals were just too good to pass up. There's a lot more to this story but I'll spare the details. Bottom line, I'm/we are looking forward to the day that we give an interior cabin a try.
  6. I don't have an electric shaver and never had one. But, on the other cruise line, when I was loyal to them, I found the outlet in the restroom above the mirror. It looked weird but I tried to use it to charge my phone. It wouldn't plug in, there is/was something unique about a shaver outlet, and no it wasn't the polarity thing. I didn't really care and didn't look too hard to find out why, I just plugged my phone into the living area outlet in the cabin. So, if RCCL is the same, don't expect to use the bathroom plug for anything but a shaver.
  7. I'd bet that weather has a lot to do with that. I'd also bet that a lot of those same folks that live in the N.E. when they visit S. Florida or Hawaii or S. Texas or cruise to the Caribbean, or or or. they wear shorts to high-end restaurants.
  8. Like I always say, "Each to their own".

  10. Shortly after I got married, ~ in 1976, I worked for National Linen Service (no longer in business anymore, I guess). I serviced Joe's Stone Crab with all their linen needs. They were one of Miami's most, if not the most popular restaurants. I don't know how good they are today but if history is any indicator, you ain't gonna be disappointed, especially if you like crab.
  11. Two people separated by a common language.
  12. Just an FYI, if you ever visit Texas, go into an HEB and try their "Cowboy" cookies. When we go to Texas to visit with my old Army buddy there, we get 5 - 10 packages (you've got to get there early) of them to bring back home and I also send some to my grandson in Indiana who absolutely loves 'em. I think they taste much like the "Ranger" cookies on RCCL, but better. I don't remember if they actually have Coconut in them, but it tastes like it to me.
  13. No, I didn't suggest that you are suggesting that "anything" is unsafe. I'm suggesting, actually stating that we don't know, generally, what RCCL's policies are as to what is safe or what isn't, what's allowed, what isn't. Their policies are way too convoluted to make sense of them. AND I state that if something is brought on a ship that is unsafe is of concern to me and should be for all of us. But, RCCL doesn't consistently state what is safe or unsafe. Many more people state that they bring on protectors, with or without cords, without problem but many others state that they have had them taken to the naughty desk. RCCL's website for Australia states that protectors are not permitted but the USA site doesn't. Some items are required to have UL rating/approval, et al, while other like items don't. NOTE: RCCL's Austrailia's FAQ website has been updated and mirrors the U.S. Site now. No mention of protectors. As I have noted on this board a few times, at the Terminal in Seattle last May, I had my drone confiscated. I asked the guy why. He said that the policy on RCCL ships prohibits Drones and said it with much force and a stern look. I had a copy of the FAQ Policy in hand (that was in effect at the time. The new one doesn't even mention Drones) and told him that they are specifically allowed but not to be flown while on the ship. I demanded to see a supervisor and when he showed up he agreed with me and I got my drone back. I only give this example as an illustration of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing and RCCL not ensuring that their employees or contractors are fully trained on the policies and basically my only time that I've had an issue like that with RCCL's terminal staff. Otherwise, I can only pass on what others have stated and what I read in their policies.
  14. That's completely up to you, your option, and basically, none of my business what you do, except for safety issues that could affect my family and friends. I prefer to just follow the rules and try not to be inconvenienced or embarrassed at any point in my cruise experience. That's why I'm kinda invested in the thread, I don't know for sure what is safely allowed or what isn't. RCCL, apparently, isn't willing or capable of making a comprehensive policy. The fact that in the FAQ/public policy, "Surge Suppressors/Protectors" isn't specifically prohibited, I'd feel comfortable bringing one on, even though I don't, I have several power strips/blocks that aren't protected in any way.
  15. We can "what if" this to death. So, my final is" What if someone carries their device(s) around by the cord and it starts to fray inside the handle/plastic housing, unseen OR lots of people pull the plug out by the cord causing damage where the actual wires attach to the plugs. I'm just saying that there is a lot of inconsistency with RCCL's, et al, policies/enforcement/logic. But, I'm still loyal to Royal. The best bang for my buck.
  16. I understand this thread is about Harmony, but I think this experience can and probably does happen on all ships with a Wonderland on it: On our Ovation cruise last May, my buddy and I ordered the "Short Rib" while at the Wonderland Specialty Restaurant. As stated many times previously, I'm no fan of Wonderland but it was my buddy's and his wife's first time on a RCCL ship. My Rib <note, not plural, was actually very good. The Rib <again, note, not plural, had no rib and was a huge chunk of white jello jiggling fat covered in BBQ sauce. Obviously, he returned it and the next attempt was much better. I don't want to beat a dead horse (you know I wouldn't do that LOL) but to keep it brief, it wasn't the ship that plated that chunk of fat, it was a person, a lazy and/or unsupervised and/or untrained person that has probably moved on to another ship or home between contracts. Probably coming to or already on a ship near you! LOL
  17. Ahhhhh, thanks. No wonder, I never use the Calendar portion of the App., well, not in detail anyway. And it is "not so obvious". That helps a lot, now I don't have to get home to research the sailings of other ships on my computer. Thanks again.
  18. Okay, I may need some help with the App. I can't see any cruise other than the one(s) I've got booked already. Am I missing something? What am I doing wrong? Is there a different App?
  19. And you forgot about the word "SUGGESTED", I guess. Oh, a "CLEAR" hint and "aren't that welcome". I don't think I've ever classified a hint as being "CLEAR". And they're either welcome or they aren't, this ain't horseshoes or hand grenades. And again, nowhere does it prohibit the wearing of Shorts at any venue, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Oh, and you are ignoring the many testimonies from cruisers that state that they wear shorts into any/all venues no matter what time of day, evening, or night. I'll testify that I have seen people wear shorts into the MDR on formal nights on the Ovation, Symphony, and Allure. Not only did I see it by strangers, I had my best friend wear shorts into the MDR on the Ovation last May. Okay, I've had my laugh for the evening. I'm out of this thread.
  20. You've conveniently left out, where it says, "When you’re onboard, the right look will vary by venue. But here are a few types of suggested attire you’ll see, grouped by item. And in the "FORMAL NIGHTS": "SUITS AND TIES, TUXEDOS, COCKTAIL DRESSES OR EVENING GOWNS ARE ALL ACCEPTABLE OPTIONS". Key word, "OPTIONS". Nowhere in you post does it restrict shorts.
  21. I can't help but notice that there is nothing like that for Curling Irons, curlers, CPAPs, et al. Anybody picking up what I'm putting down? Lack of consistency, maybe!
  22. My only wish for the WJ and RCCL's eateries, in general, is that they would learn how to make an authentic NY-style Cheesecake. Not the cheesecake that is light and fluffy. The kind that is so heavy and thick you almost need a dolly to take it back to your table. Oh, and I prefer no toppings. But, that's me.
