  1. If you're an experienced snorkeler looking for pretty fish... don't waste your time.
  2. A lovely surprise this morning... we had asked about a ship transfer at guest services when we boarded and they weren't aware of any. I guess they discovered there are enough of us to extend the courtesy.
  3. Yesterday in Belize we did a ships excursion... Snorkeling the Barrier Reef. The took us to Rendezvous Cay... one of the tiniest islands I've ever seen. The reef was mostly bleached out and hardly any fish. Food was not included but they were cooking on the pier. I think it was $12 for chicken, sausage or pork with rice and coleslaw. Drinks and even water was extra although they gave us a bottle of water on the boat. The water was beautiful and there were huge rays that came to greet us. Last night was Lido buffet, a little casino and we called it a night. We are spending today at the pool and calling it a sea day.
  4. The Mexican police and dogs are ready for us. 😲 They were ready in Cozumel also. Do not take anything off the ship you're not supposed to... food... whatever...
  5. Costa Maya today. I made it up for sunrise. They're still tying the ship up.
  6. I'll try and find out. DuVaul is the cruise director. Matt is the Entertainment Director. I haven't been to any of the activities they might be involved in. 4 ports have kept us busy... then casino... then shows... with dinner in there somewhere.
  7. Just pulling away from Roatan. Had a fabulous day with Jovan from Roatan Five Stars. It was just us. We went to the sloths, monkeys and birds. I didn't go in the monkey cage. We also went to the chocolate place and then to a beautiful beach. DH went on a snorkel boat with just 2 other people over to the reef and said it was great. He spent quite a lot of time there while I stayed behind and enjoyed the water. Overall it was a great day. Doing the Lido again for dinner and then going to see 5 Skies. Can you spot the sloths overhead in the 2 pictures?
  8. Not bad. Last week was bad. But really not feeling the motion of the ocean.
  9. Yesterday was Cozumel and we did a private excursion thru Viator that went to 3 reefs. Palancar... although maybe not because he called it something else something about a balloon because of its shape... Columbia... and El Cielo... then to the sand bar. OMG 😲 the water was incredible. Crystal clear drop dead gorgeous. You don't see this water at their beaches. At the sand bar we had tons of rays... everywhere and then schools of something showed up. They looked like baby sharks. Had a big dorsal fin... but I suspect they were something else. The company that took us was May-be tours and our crew was awesome. Very safety conscious and watchful. The captain was very good at moving people on and off the boat for snorkel stops. 5 min ride from the port...$10 for both of us each way. We left at 10 and got back at 2:30... exactly as he said he would. All onboard was 3:30 and we were the only ship there. 30 people on the boat mostly from hotels but they catered to our time frame. Be asked us when we needed to be back before we left and we asked for 2:30. The boat was a trimaran. It didn't have any shade so bring coverups and towels for the sun. Lunch/dinner was in the Lido when we got back. I went to the Captains party at 7 and retired after that. We're just pulling into Roatan and have a busy day ahead of us.
  10. Last night's dinner was Weiner Zweibel and Garlic Shrimp... both were good. Dessert was pink grapefruit sorbet, pear flambee', chocolate cherry trifle 👎 and creme Brule'. I'm not a dessert person but the sorbet sounded good as a pallet cleanser. DH enjoyed the creme Brule'. After that it was off to the Champagne fountain and meet the crew. The dancers did a little number, DuVaul introduced everyone, the Captain kicked everything off and we headed off to see Rock Opera which was awesome! Bravo has always been my favorite but this show is right up there. After that we called it a night. We have an excursion in Cozumel to rest up for.
  11. We had an M&G in Take 5 this morning. We had about half the people show up and 7 officers and then the other half showed up after they left and were disappointed they missed them. After that we had a Slot Pull and Randy saved us with a big win. We ended up with a $3 profit each but fun was had by all! We met a bunch of great people. I can relax now and have fun. It's a lot of work to pull off events and I thank everyone who showed up. I thank Mary Anne with Guest Services who stuck with me the whole time and made sure everything happened that I had requested. She was awesome!
  12. Good morning from the Enchanted! Pics attached all from Deck 5 the Piazza.
  13. Sitting here in the Crown Grill lounge listening to Utopia Duo. Started off with Rocket Man. So far so good. Tripped right into Lionel Richie. These guys are GOOD!
  14. We had a light lunch because our dinner reservations were in the Capri DR at 5. Dinner was very good. I had a garlic prawn starter and DH had the French onion soup and the fettuccine Alfredo and both were good. We both had the Yankee pot roast and it was very good. Dessert was also good... creme Brule and the mascopone whatever it was... but it was good. Tried the casino for a little bit but it's way too smoky. I have an M&G and Slot Pull in the morning and need to find a machine. I'll slip down there early but I think I settled on one. Can't wait to see how that turns out. We have almost 70 participants.
  15. Doors opened early and we were sitting in the priority lounge by 10:15.
  16. Disembarking the Rotterdam in the morning and headed to the Enchanted! We have an M&G planned and a Slot Pull with our roll call group. Lots of excursions planned and hopefully we'll get there. The Rotterdam missed Belize... well technically they canceled all excursions and were able to start tender operations at 2 p.m... and we missed Costa Maya where the waves were coming over the pier. The rain held off in Cozumel until we returned to the pier and then we were pelted with sideways stinging rain. We were soaked to the bone when we got to the ship. Let's hope Mother Nature is nicer this coming week!
  17. Last sunset of this cruise... going... going... going... gone...
  18. Today was a leisurely day. Went to coffee with Nick and the Captain this morning. Played Bingo this afternoon and didn't win. Grand prize was over $2K and somebody won a cruise in a drawing. We're all packed and moving to the Enchanted Princess tomorrow. I'll do another live from if no one else has started one. Thanks for following along.
  19. Sorry got caught up in packing and watching the sunset... not going back out tonight.
  20. Yesterday turned out well enough. Nice ride on the Cat. We went south to where their private beach is. I didn't get off for the snorkel stop. It wasn't calm enough for me. The beach area wasn't clear as there were 5 Cats there and with the toys and people it was just all stirred up. Overall it was a nice day... and then we got back to the port and the skies opened up. The rain was driving sideways and felt like stinging hail. We were absolutely soaked when we got to the ship.
