  1. I booked thru my HAL rep which I really need to change. Not ever been happy with her.
  2. We did a Slot Pull at 10 on the worse machine as far as payout that I've ever seen. We ended up with $54 out of close to $600 and just let the organizer run out the money. I will not be using that machine for the Slot Pull next cruise that I'm running.
  3. Dinner last night in CO was delicious. It was getting it that was the problem. They are so shorthanded. The manager finally came over and was our server and still getting the main course took awhile and then dessert never came. I walked out to go to the mariner party and my DH showed up 15 min later. He went to the Lido and got his dessert. Breakfast this morning was better. I had to laugh when I got my cottage cheese and fruit. The cottage cheese was in this little tiny dish. Then they brought the toast out and it was ice cold by the time my eggs finally showed up.
  4. So far Club Orange is not working well for us. We had a guarantee inside which wasn't assigned until the week before the cruise. We were supposed to get the best available in our category and I find it hard to believe that was deck 1 under BB Kings. So we paid to upgrade to Oceanview and were assigned supposedly the only cabin left. It was also on deck 1 but it was an accessible cabin. We didn't want or need that. I had to email someone and there was a standard room available also on deck 1 but under the galley. In the end we paid again and upgraded to a balcony for the 15 days.
  5. You also... jump in any time and share thoughts and comments!
  6. All the goodies waiting in our cabin. Mariner champagne party tonight... which I thought was unusual.
  7. Just got onboard. First time using Club Orange. But first... lunch!
  8. Look at Compass Bonaire. They have a couple of sail boats. One only takes around 14 people and other about 17. I've been out with them maybe 5 times over the years.
  9. Thanks. If anyone has anyone specifically on the Emerald please let me know.
  10. Does anyone have any current info? I emailed grouponboardservices@princesscruises.com asking to set up M&Gs for 2 Emerald cruises in April on January 24, 2024 and no one has responded to me. Thanks.
  11. Yes you can exchange for a different size on a ship. Beware of how they handle that like credit out the first one and charge for the new one as you'll pay the higher price. Same applies if you pick a different device. This happened to me when I changed the TIME on an excursion. Went to Shore Excursions and changed from the afternoon to the morning on the same excursion. Really ticked me off when I saw my statement later, so I'm assuming they might pull the same thing with accessories. And even though they're tax free it still comes out higher on this ship.
  12. Prices below on the Emerald last month.
  13. Prices are higher on the ship. Necklaces are $30, bracelets are $54. Buy before you get on the ship. I love my bracelet.
  14. That's a shame. I had booked the tour for 2 couples. He said his car seated 5 if it was a small person, then turned around and added 2 people to our tour but said he was just going to drop them somewhere. I ended up cancelling but the other couple kept the tour and added another couple. I don't know how that worked out for them. We ended up booking a ship tour (that was added closer to the cruise) that was called an Eco Adventure and went through the mangroves out to the bay to beautiful snorkeling and a tiny sand island. We had an awesome time doing that. The crew was just great.
  15. It opens at 8. Not sure when it closes. W/D takes 30-35 min.
  16. We had a 1 day turn around on the Emerald, but you're correct, I've had it take 3 days.
  17. We took a ziplock baggie with Tide pods and dryer sheets.
  18. Tokens were $3 each. You need one for the washer and one for the dryer. There's a machine where you do a touch screen order, touch your Medallion and tokens drop out. It's in each laundry room. Elites get free laundry, unlimited, but I didn't want to send undergarments out for the crew to wash. There are bags in your room with a laundry list to check off. There are prices on it but just fill in the amount of shirts etc you are sending. They will charge you for the laundry and right beneath it they will credit you saying Elite perk or something like that. You may have to go from floor to floor to find a machine that works and/or washer/dryers that are available. Luckily folks on our cruise were stalking their laundry and it wasn't left sitting, but we had to go down a deck to get a machine that was free and a token machine that worked.
  19. Here are the "Patters" from our last cruise on the Emerald. 20. Certainly... the only true adult area is the Sanctuary. Overhead there are areas of metal ceilings in places and sun sails in-between. The pictures I posted may show some of that. When you first walk in there are 5 chairs under a metal ceiling that stay mostly sun free but the pool is one deck below and there is noise from people talking. There are loungers around the pool but people get up at 5 a.m. and claim all the chairs with their towels and possessions but they are in the sun all day anyway. On port days you will hear noise from the port...could be forklifts, buses, etc. I think the best loungers are around the edges looking out at the water but you may experience sun as the ship moves. If you decide to book it for the whole cruise or just days here and there you need to go directly there after boarding to get a chance at a good location. The terrace pool on Deck 14 is an Adult pool but the loungers are all out in the sun. Skywalkers on Deck 18 is a great place for solitude and views with it's floor to ceiling windows. Folks go there to play cards, read, gaze out at the sea during the day. Below that on Deck 17 is a bar called Adagio that is quiet during the day and also used for playing cards and reading by folks. You're probably going to have a lot of kids on your cruise during the time you are cruising. The Sanctuary really is your best option for an Adult area.
  21. Yesterday and today have been lazy sea days. Last night was production show Rock Opera which we had looked forward to the whole cruise. I believe they were almost at the end of the last song and someone yelled at them to get off the stage and off they went, the curtain came down and we were all sitting there going what just happened. The stage has multi platforms that go up and down and apparently there was a malfunction and the cast was in danger. That was scary but handled well I think. Tonight there's a farewell show in the theater but simulcast into Explorers so we're going in that direction. Overall it was an awesome cruise. I'll post a review after I get home and post the patters. Thanks for coming along with me!
