I'm going on a cruise to Mediterranean. Livorno is one of the ports. Does Princess or the city have a free shuttle bus to take you into city or can you walk? I'm catching a tour bus to go to Florence at 9:45 am & we dock that morning at 07.

If we dock in Civitivecchia @ 0500, will we have enough time to catch train @ 0900? I don't know how long it will take to disembark & get to station. I really hate to waste all those hours for the fast train but worried about using regional trains with luggage.

That is a question I had. Thanks for answering that! I didn't know how long disembarking would take so was worried about buying a ticket in advance. How long does disembarking usually take with Princess at end of trip?

Thanks so much for the info. Sounds a little confusing getting to the actual train & then leaving Termini station. Hopefully there's a lot of English speaking staff to help navigate it.

We're taking a Mediterranean cruise in Sept. which will end in Civitavecchia. Our boat (Princess Enchanted) docks at 0500. I think we're going to use the train. Trying to decide which train would be best. I thought I'd try & buy ticket ahead of time. I'm just not sure what time to get the ticket for since I don't know how long it will take to disembark & get to station. Is it easy to purchase ticket at station or are there long lines? .It would be nice to use express train, but looks like it doesn't leave till 0900 so I feel like we'd wasting a lot of time to ride that. Any ideas which train would be best? Any help would be appreciated.
