My wife and I are on an NCL cruise in March. I may have to start a new job and I I would miss the boat .Would NCl let me change the names on the reservation so my wife could take her sister instead ?

Yes .. No choosing a seat without paying for the upgrade. The tickets is on Jet Blue and booked as "core" no "core" seats left. You pay an upgrade charge to the next level and pick a seat but if you don't you have to roll the dice and hope for a seat assignment at the airport . You're considered stand by. I was able to just buy a ticket on the same flight the next day for about the same price as the up grade. So we get get an extra day of vacation,.

Correct .. They no longer had seats available on that flight at that fare. If I stayed on that flight I would receive my seats at the airport based on availability. I got the impression that Jet Blue holds seats to encourage the upsell. Don't really want to spend the end of my vacation in a middle seat on a 6 hour flight with my wife in a different row.

It's most likely that you've been booked in economy and that particular airline doesn't allow you to pick seats until 24 hours before the flight. My guess is that the $359 is an upgrade fee that will allow you to pick your seats ahead of time. Unfortunately that was not the case. I called the airline and they no longer had seast at that fair. I could pay an additional fee {350 for 2 seats} on that flight for a upgraded seat or be on stand by So I just moved to another flight. I booked 2 seats on the same flight the next day at about the price of the seat cost to stay on the NCL flight. We'll spend a night in Boston and have a nice meal. Next time I think I'll pass on the free air fare deal .

Got my flights from Boston to San Diego .. The flight times are great but when I try to book seats there are none at the fare NCL paid. To Get two seat I will need to pay an additional 359 bucks . Is this normal ?

Thanks it took awhile but I found it. I hate getting screwed by small print . I booked this directly with an NCL PCC who told me I would land in Quebec I even got him to send me a screen grab of what he was reading. Right now the flights to Quebec are wide open lets see how this c ones out ..

I don't recall anything in the promo saying we can fly you to the wrong city. I know Quebec is a small airport but they have had 10 months to book the ticket.

We are cruising out of Quebec and home from Boston . I don't see an issue with Boston. There are flights from Montreal to Quebec as late a 10 pm but we will not know when we land in Montreal till 30 days out.

So we have to make our own way from Montreal to Quebec. Flights may be tough but there are flights. We have made this cruise 3 time and we have always flown in Quebec ?

We are booked on a cruise out of Quebec City in Oct but but the itinerary say we are landing in Montreal. Is is possible that NCL would fly us to an airport 200 miles for the port .Its 3.5 train ride after a coast to coast flight?
