  1. I was just investigating this exact thing! I've booked VH4135 which I'd be happy with but thought I should investigate the options with Club Orange. How do I find out if it's available, and also what cabins I could upgrade to?
  2. Thanks so much. I'll definitely have a look there if we get closer to booking.
  3. Thanks all for that. I searched here but didn't find anything on that cabin. That post helps a lot. I think 4093 and 4101 are both in the same line for obstruction. We tend to be night-owls so can probably handle the noise. I will see what other options I have with obstruction though that might be better.
  4. Hi All, Potentially our first cruise with HAL and really looking forward to it if it goes ahead. We're looking at an Alaskan cruise on Koningsdam. The cabins we're considering are "partially obstructed" VH093, VH4101. I've had a lot of these type over the years and at a saving of $1k/person for the cruise definitely worth considering. But the question is really how obstructed are they? Can you see past the life boats or is it basically just a wall of red? I've looked for reviews but can only find the stock images for these 2 cabins. They are both starboard which I've been told is best for this cruise (well that's what the TA told me anyway lol). Thanks for help anyone can give 🙂 cheers, davo
  5. I would suggest purchasing a fairly inexpensive travel router which will enable you to share the Internet (basically it logs in and then creates a wifi network for your devices to use). You can find this one on Amazon. It's $40 today. Works very well. About the size of your palm. GL.iNET GL-MT300N-V2 (Mango) Wireless Mini Portable VPN Travel Router I take mine *everywhere*. Worked well on our last cruise in 2019 that only had one wifi package.
  6. When we were last on P&O for a longer cruise (pre the Rona) we had a drinks package for a 10 day cruise. I don't think I'd do it again for a long cruise as it tends to give you the feeling you need to drink "enough to be worthwhile", meaning on some days you might drink more than you would otherwise do. Depending on what you like to drink there are reasonably priced options. The last short cruise we went on was to Morton Island - 4 or 5 nights from memory. I generally drink beer and could find pints at around $10 each. The cocktails aren't too badly priced either although they aren't terribly strong. My GF at the time liked red wine so we generally bought a bottle for her as better value than by the glass. We're on Pacific Adventure in a few weeks for a comedy cruise so will make a note of the alchol options and costs and report back here so you have an updated reference.
