  1. Sorry I missed this! Thanks so much!
  2. I rarely drink Starbucks — because the taste to me is ALWAYS that of over roasted beans. But, alas, I’m not too snobby about it. I like it here and there. I also like teas. I think every response is helpful. For me, I am just gauging expectations so I can assign the right values. My whole experience is based on total value — taste, convenience, availability, scenery, availability. Food and drink all have tastes and smells that are impacted by when and where you experience them, and who you experience them with. I’m going to guess that any Starbucks coffee I drink on board will not meet my tastes the same way my go to coffee at home does. But, I will be drinking it with a view of the ocean, the feel of the sun and wind on deck, or after dinner with family and friends I love being around. All of your experiences and opinions that you were kind enough to share will help my tastebuds and my wallet get the most value out of my personal experience. Thanks to ALL of you!
  3. I just chatted with an NCL agent. She said the Starbucks package works in the dining rooms. But, she said that AFTER she told me that it wouldn’t work. So … 🤷🏿‍♂️ Anyone have real life experience with this onboard?
  4. Very helpful. I like to have coffee when I’m in the mood. Even “meh” coffee is good if it is convenient to my mood. (With a meal/after a meal.) If the Unlimited Starbucks gets me specialty coffee at bars and restaurants, great. If I need to upgrade to Premium Plus for my beverages to get it everywhere, I will have to weigh price against convenience.
  5. I totally get this. What I believe we are trying to identify is cost expectation. If I buy Starbucks pass, will it cover a latte in the restaurant (even if it isn’t made to the same standards)
  6. This is their first, and they have no idea. Christmas Day with the cruise 3 weeks later. They miss out on the weeks of planning and anticipating beforehand, but I think that is more of a happy obsession for me anyway. I assume they will like being able to wander the ship, eat whenever and whatever, and not have any responsibilities.
  7. I’m not bring-my-own-French-press kind of coffee guy, but I do like to mix up how I coffee with espresso, cappuccino, cafe latte, machiatto, etc. I think I want to do the Starbucks package. Just wondering if any other coffees are included in the premium package and/or if Starbucks is available throughout the ship or only in one location.
  8. Thanks for info. Any other must have or highly suggest for teens?
  9. Is there hot water in the buffet area for tea and hod chocolate?
  10. Thanks for the heads up. There was no charge for the room service? I thought there was a $10 fee for room service. I feel like I’m going to learn something in a minute …
  11. I have no idea how I never knew this in all of my travels. Thanks!
  12. If the game is included, are they all one swipe per play, or are some games multiple swipes? example: If there are two machines next to each other, will my three swipes in three minutes work for me and other person to both do a racing game or play basketball or guitar hero together at the same time? also, is the arcade 24/7 for the early risers and the insomniacs?
  13. How early did the line start, typically? (Obviously different for each show.)
  14. FYI, traveling on Norwegian Bliss in January. For a non-Haven traveler with a premium (not plus) beverage package, what are the coffee options? Just drip? Is that available at all restaurants? Any other coffee options that are included? If I added a Starbucks package, does this open up any other coffee in other restaurants, or is it only good at a Starbucks branded place on the ship? If only at Starbucks, how many locations are there on the ship? How many hours a day is Starbucks available? Sincerely, Never been on a cruise, totally over researching but very grateful poster.
  15. I only ask because I have read elsewhere that Locals isn’t actually 24/7
  16. Hours for Locals? Particularly the wee, early, hours.
  17. Thanks. I assume it will make more sense after online check in so I know when it is reasonable I will be able to get there and on the ship. On the one hand I don’t want to be in a waiting room for hours and hours on end, on the other hand I am willing to do whatever to get on the ship ASAP.
  18. Bird, you have the best info on this whole forum. Thanks for the reply.
  19. Follow-up for a noob here: can you help me understand how boarding works — dropping off luggage and then going back with carryon? I assume this means you got an early check in at the port but couldn’t board until later? (I have no idea how this works.
  20. Also, does NCL carry any energy drinks that are included in drink packages? If so, what energy drink and which package? (Sorry for the barrage of follow ups)
  21. Do you pick up any additional juices with the drink package?
  22. I came to the right place. Thank you to all for sharing with me. All of your advice was very helpful.
