On a related note, do the specialty restaurants have bars where we can go and sit or do you have to eat there to order from their bar? No problem if we have to dress up to do so.

I have a somewhat related question. I am looking at menus that people have posted online. There is a cocktail from Le Bistro that sounds interesting. Can I only order that at Le Bistro if it is one of their specialty cocktails or can I order it anywhere? We leave tomorrow! Eek so so so excited!!!

We are on the Escape.

Cruise newbie. Leaving in 10 days. I know that arrival and departure times are estimates. That said we are supposed to arrive in Tortola at 6AM and depart at 1 PM. I am reading that you can typically get off the ship in about 30 minutes. I am also reading that we need to be back 30 minutes before the ship leaves. So that further reduces our time and frankly 6 AM is kind of early even for this early bird. Is it typical for passengers to choose not to get off the ship at a port? Does the ship have things to do for the people who stay on? I am thinking that maybe people who have mobility issues may choose to not get off at every port. This may not be the correct Board for this. Does anyone have suggestions for something that we absolutely must do in Tortola? Ben is a big fan of sleep. 😆

This graphic references "Package includes 6-One-liter Flow Water." I found out last week that the Flow waters are only included for cruises that depart January 1, 2023 or later. I know that it is almost the end of the year, but thought it was worth sharing.

Someone showed me kindness as a new cruiser who is disappointed with the information that has been communicated from the supposed professionals of the cruise line. I responded to the comment. I thought cruise people were supposed to be friendly...

Our cruise is December 3rd. Everything that we had read led us to believe that the water would be included and we were even told at least once that it would be included. I preordered because I didn't want to have to haul it in from the gift shop. We have $75 credit. We will use it for something fun. Didn't know that go-kart rides are paid. Ugh. More nickel and diming!

Thank you very much for your kind reply! I have ordered a case of water to be delivered to our stateroom. My [almost] husband plans to drink only alcohol all day every day instead of his two energy drinks each morning. Hopefully that will work out for him. LOL! We are bringing two bottles of wine with us and I plan to drink drip coffee all week instead of my iced coffee that I enjoy in hot and cold months alike. The specialty restaurants still confuse me though we are booked in for several during the trip. Hopefully we have already paid anything that we will need to for the specialty dining.

I just called because nothing ventured nothing gained and was told that because it is within 14 days of our departure, they will not give an upgrade or credit. We leave in 12 days. Ugh!!!

I am feeling so taken advantage of. We have the free at sea package and countless NCL employees touted it as “all drinks included” and we have since found out that very few are actually included. Unfortunately the extra $500 + gratuity to upgrade just isn’t worth it. Definitely feel nickel and dimed to death. Not a good feeling for my honeymoon. 😞

Oh it looks like we may be out of luck. We paid in full at booking back in October.
