I have heard they are pretty strict on ages. They did not let my son “age up” even though he was only a few months away. There *is* a chance for your older kids to level down to the 5 year olds group. This is our plan if my now 8 year old doesn’t want to go alone. His 10 year old sister will try to level down for the the 2nd day.

We booked directly with Celebrity online. I booked a cabin for me and my son (child) and he was listed as “Unnamed Guest.” I just called Celebrity to add his name. Nothing repriced. Was the 2nd guest already listed and paid for?

Port Everglades is in a great location for you to go enjoy yourself for a bit in between cruises. Can you drop your bags early and then take a taxi to Las Olas and enjoy a leisurely breakfast? Or stroll Ft Lauderdale Beach? It should only be a few minutes in a taxi. The W on Ft Lauderdale Beach has an EXCELLENT brunch out on the patio over looking the ocean. Definitely beats sitting in the terminal.
