  1. It was explained to me that your beverage package allows you to get 2 drinks at a time, and sticking drinks would not fall within that policy. Additionally, with allowing the beverage package to be used for in-suite service there is the concern that people would order drink after drink and just serve drinks to every who visits their suite using their own individual beverage package.
  2. This is not just a bougie people opinion either... it's objectively awful. People on my music cruises (where they'd give every cabin a bottle for free) often left it behind after the cruise. It's undrinkable except as mimosas.
  3. Many people give the butler a short letter on the first day with information like what they like for breakfast and what time they'd like it, any food allergies or dislikes, what days you'll be getting off the ship, and general information like that. That way he doesn't need to just remember everything about everyone.
  4. Yeah... e-mails take at least a day or two before they get back to you, and I just get antsy and end up calling before that anyway.
  5. Has anyone here been in the Haven out of Seattle recently? I was reading that they don't have anytime Haven boarding there, and they make everyone wait in the main line outside the port and inside at security. If that's the case I'll need to call and change the arrangements I made for my mom's scooter.
  6. Instant makes a machine that uses both Nespresso pods *and* k-cups, and it makes 3 sizes of each. The Nespresso pulls are just as good as with my Essenza machine. The problem is it takes up considerably more space. I love it, because I can use the k-cups to make an iced coffee and still have my espresso and not have 2 separate machines like I used to have.
  7. I've looked at a few Viva/Prima sailings and they are incredibly expensive compared to other NCL ships still. The particular selling matters too... our upcoming 4th of July Alaska cruise fare in a Haven penthouse was 15% more (25% if you count the included airfare on Regent) than a concierge suite on Regent during the same week, but factoring in the extra flying to get to Anchorage (they give you economy on domestic, and my mom won't do that, especially not for a 10 hour travel day) and the fact that I thought maybe we'd bring my niece, the Haven won out.
  8. I booked through Costco Travel, and they're taking care of it but it will take another day or two. I'm trying to be patient, but I want to book stuff so I'm sitting here like a preschooler waiting for snacktime.
  9. This will be my first time in the Haven when I actually care about port stops (previously only on music cruises that stopped in Caribbean ports I'd been to many times over), and we *just* booked our Alaska cruise over the 4th of July. It seems like most of the excursions are sold out, or only have 1 ticket left (I can't actually see though, because they booked me under a brand new Latitudes instead of my existing one, and the itinerary isn't even showing up in my account yet 😑). Is it worth a call to the concierge to see if we can get onto one that we really want? Do they ever reserve a space or two for Haven guests?
  10. On a music cruise we hosted a small show later one night in our suite and we were going to order trays, but the butler suggested that we just get pizzas and have him bring wings from O'Sheehan's instead. We did that, and he brought veggies and cookies from the buffet as well and it worked out perfectly. He also arranged the furniture for us to give more open space.
