  2. Well....this is some crazy IT mojo. I have noticed on the Princess Personalizer that when I go to my "saved" cruises (for future dreaming and scheming) that when I click on it once it kicks you out of that page and gives an error alert. However, when you click on the back arrow key and select the saved cruise again, it goes right to it. So, I tried the same thing just now in the Medallion app for making a reservation....AND IT WORKED!! I had to do it three times but the third one was a charm! We have our dining reservations on the dates and times we want! YIPPEE!!! I hope you all have the same luck with this crazy app!
  3. My last cruise was aboard the Discovery Princess - Alaska (Sept. 2022) - round trip out of Seattle. In all honestly, the Seattle cruise port was a complete fiasco, chaos, and utterly disorganized. The Uber driver wasn't allowed to take the usual route to drop us right off at the terminal and we had to wait forever for a shuttle or walk forever to get down the pier. There were NO PORTERS to assist with luggage...we had to drop our luggage at the scanning/drop off station which was mostly "self serve" getting it onto the scanner belt. It only went downhill from there. Once inside the terminal...complete disorganization and chaos. I cannot imagine anyone there capable or competent enough to simply "...go get it (medallion) and hand it over to you." The only good experience was walking on board with several bottles of wine without having to pay the extra corkage fee for the bottles over our limit. I do not believe I would ever be willing to sail out of Seattle again.
  4. This raises a good point to discuss, if people are willing.....what are the pros and cons of mailing it to your home vs simply picking it up at the port. I have always had it mailed to me....but wonder what the steps are and if there are long delays picking it up at the port??? Thanks for sharing and caring! 🥰

Hey wowzz....will you please book a specialty dining reservation for us and I'll be sure to pay you once onboard??? 🤪 I think Princess is really missing out with the app....customers who want to throw money at them by paying for a specialty dining reservation cannot!! They obviously must have more money than they need. 🤔

  7. Where are you getting them? Is it just one place like at the Gelato counter? Or International Cafe? Or Swirls? Or Pastry Shop? They show pictures of the desserts with lollipops stuck in them...and even those baby bottles of booze shoved into the ice cream!!! Is that for real? Or advertising gimmick?
  8. My COVID card transferred from past cruises to the upcoming Panama Canal .... however, it did not transfer to a later cruise and needed to be manually entered. Perhaps they don't care about COVID vaccination status any longer???? 🤷‍♂️
  9. Have a wonderful cruise!!! Did you get the Princess Plus or Princess Premier package along with this voyage? If so, I'd love to hear some of your experiences with the package...especially their specialty desserts.
  10. It's a sad reality...but IF Princess would do that, we could help them really make it sing!!! The best designing ideas come from the frequent users....not solely techies in a petri dish....at least that's my humble opinion.
  11. Since the start of this Premier package, can anyone vouch first hand what the clip accessory is?? I have the watch and one of the clips....but the promo below says it's an exclusive design (crowd goes, "Oooooo!!!). What is included for the Medallion accessory? As part of the Premier package, you will receive a clip accessory that has been exclusively designed just for Premier package guests. It will be in your stateroom when you arrive. Please note, this accessory cannot be returned or exchanged.
  12. My experience has been in all the times I've cruised since they instituted Medallion, we have never been charged for shipping that I recall. I just checked the invoice on our current order for upcoming Panama Canal cruise and there is no shipping charge....and they're being shipped to our houses. Early on, they were shipping them via FedEx. I didn't understand how they could afford to ship it for free to the customer that way. Big money.
  13. My experience back in September 2022 on SKY PRINCESS was that we were able to do it within less time than 15-minutes -- and the other cabin member won a prize. I remember it because I won the prize and we were keeping track of who won what on the Medallion app where the prizes won are listed. I think the neighbors must have gotten tired of hearing us go in and out of the cabin so much!! Plus all the laughter and excitement when we won....and all the whinging when we lost!!! Great fun!!
  14. Well...part of me takes comfort in knowing I'm not alone! Sorry it has to be you, cruisingaussies....but glad to find a kindred spirit down under. I'm looking forward to being back in Oz in September and October in time for the Jacaranda to be in their glory. I stay in Kellyville.
  15. Thanks for everyone's suggestions on my mobile app issues. Everything is listed - all phone numbers have the +1 .... nothing I touch will allow the "save" button to go from gray-out to be able to save. It's screwy!! That, or I am batty!!! 🤪 Probably a bit of both!
  16. It has the correct address in the My Account / My Profile Account/Contact information on the Princess Cruise Personalizer. It is the incorrect address on the Medallion app for the upcoming Panama Island cruise in April. It allows me to try and change it ... it just won't SAVE it.
  17. I never saw that before....and did not know that was an option. However, it was an exercise in futility as the same problems happen on the web version. It won't allow me to update my address....it won't allow me to change my emergency contact....it won't allow me to make a specialty dining reservation. Glad we spent +$11,000.00 on this cruise and can't make a specialty dining reservation. All Princess will say is, "It will eventually fix itself."

  19. Same for us in the "Dine my way" section--it shows we have 2 Specialty Dining credits....but, of course, we cannot make a reservation using them or even trying to pay for them. I do wish we could make those reservations the old way-on Cruise Personalizer. Waiting on the DineLine once aboard can sometimes take forever....especially when you would rather be waiting at the bar!!! 🍸
  20. My experience has been that the wait staff when bringing drinks will point their magic box right at the medallion or even tap it when it isn't picking it up right away. The medallion opens the door without needing to pull it out of your pocket. And with the new Princess Prizes it's interesting to see which medallion it picks up first. Whoever it doesn't pick they come back out of the room and try for a prize that way!!! LOL!!! Needless to say, we're going in and out of our room a lot! Some of the prizes are OBC....we like free OBC!!!!
  21. For sure, Cruisingaussies!!! ....I would want to see this evidenced in my own booking, too. In fact, I'm running into a similar problem which is frustrating. Currently on Princess Medallion it shows we only have Princess Plus but we upgraded to Princess Premiere when the enhancements first came out for our upcoming Panama Canal in April. Take a look at that screen shot!!! It's neither true...nor can Princess seem to do anything about it. They just say, "It will fix itself." Right! Just like a flat tire on my car "fixes itself". I cannot update my address or my emergency contact on the Medallion. We all know the reality...we'll end up waiting in line at Guest Services for them to clean up the mess....but that is a waste of precious cruise time.
  22. I forgot to mention, you also would get the unlimited juice bar upgrading to the new and improved Princess Plus package with drinks up to $15.
  23. Indeed it is helpful .... so thank you so much Turtles for reminding us that you never know what you might appreciate seeing a little closer. We have an old clunky pair ... too big and too heavy which makes bringing them inconvenient. And on the 14 day cruise...we want all the luggage space we can get!!! It's probably time to invest in some updated binoculars. One of those collapsing telescope/monocular would even be fun, too!!
  24. I would say the date you purchased the package (perhaps when you booked the reservation) if the terms were $12 limit that's what's in writing. You can upgrade to the current Princess Plus by paying the difference between what it cost at the time it was purchased and what it is today after the increase in benefits. Remember, it's not just going from $12 to $15 per drink....it's also including the twoice cream specialty desserts and two fitness classes. All though....I'm hearing the ice cream specialty desserts currently on the Island Princess World cruise are a complete bust!!!
