I booked Iona to the fjords on 18th May 2 weeks ago. . Rang P&O asked if they’d give a discount for 3 cabins ,the answer was a firm no. I booked a single balcony which is now over £200 cheaper and the other 2 inside cabins I could have saved another couple of hundred pounds had I booked today. Feeling a bit peeved . When is the best time to book folks ?

I’ve booked an inside cabin for this cruise, a balcony is another 2K which seems crazy , that amount will pay for a tidy cruise on Iona, which I went on last year to the fjords and enjoyed. I am unlikely to ever go to Iceland on another sort of holiday so this seemed the best option. I also like the idea of the stops in Scotland.

Good afternoon everyone. I’ve just booked this cruise, travelling solo as my lovely wife passed away last year. What is Cunard like for solo passengers? I did do the fjords last year on Iona solo and met some lovely people at dinner time sharing a table for 8. Are there likely to be many Americans or other nationalities as it originates from Germany but I board in Southampton. Will be nice to meet other people from worldwide. Thank you Mark

It’s actually quite a good deal,£1900 for a solo balcony but I’m not sure if I need the stress of flying after reading other threads on here about the new carrier. Theres another cruise on Iona going the day before to the canaries from Southampton much more expensive but far less stress.

Making my own arrangements could be difficult as it’s Easter Sunday so I think I will be using P@Os complimentary service

Hi everyone I recently lost my lovely wife. We had been on about 8 cruises in the last 20 years. The last six months have been an awful time and I was thinking of booking a cruise to help my return to some sort of normality. Not sure if it’s a good idea and extremely anxious about going solo . Any thoughts or tips out there ? Mark
