Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Now that we have come to understand that we can't see excursion prices until much closer to our sailing, we are wondering about planning excursions through third party's in port aside from Virgin since the excursion prices will likely be outrageous anyway. Where is a good place we can find some info on activities that would be available while we're in port? We're a fit, 40's couple that are as comfortable swinging naked from a chandelier as we are taking a wine tour or sitting on a beach. Our ports will be Ibiza, Malanga, and Funchal. Thank you!
  2. We're logged into our account, we're managing our booking, we're looking at the excursions available for our ports....but we cannot see anywhere what the prices are for those excursions. Where are they?
  3. This brings up something we were wondering about. While smoking and vaping isn't allowed anywhere indoors here, for whatever reason, people think it's perfectly ok to vape standing shoulder to shoulder with strangers, blowing their smoke so everyone else can breathe it in, and what's worse, employees/management doesn't seem to care. It drives us nuts. Is this happening on ship too? How willing is the crew to keep people from vaping amongst others?
  4. Doesn't that figure. So much for existing to help keep others informed. Our PM's are available though
  5. What social media group? We'd like to connect with other cruisers sailing when we are and would love to be part of some organized activities during the crossing of the pond.
  6. Great, so we can use the pool late at night if we choose?
  7. Seeing as how this is an adults only cruise, we're curious if the pools close at night or at the very least are open until well into the evening.
  8. Are there laundry services available on Valiant Lady? We will be traveling for at least a month and spending two weeks on the cruise. Space is at a premium so we will need to have our clothes washed somehow. How much is the service?
  9. Thanks everyone for the help. We'll download the app soon. Looking over all the correspondence from Virgin about our booking, there's not one single instruction saying to download the app.
  10. We recently booked our first cruise on Virgin. We've created our account. We've gotten our confirmation email. We've connected our voyage to our account. What we haven't gotten though is any idea where we're supposed to learn how things work. After reading here, it looks like we need to make reservations well in advance for dinners and such, but....where?? We can't find anything on their site. We can't even find the itinerary unless we make pretend we are booking the cruise again. We know the ports, but it doesn't tell us what days or what times we will be in those ports anywhere in our booking. We can see the offerings for shore excursions, but that's the extent of the info offered. It's pretty disappointing so far. Where do we start? Where are we supposed to go to learn what's going on during our cruise? We spoke to support and the rep there said we won't know anything about scheduled events on the ship until we board. We haven't even been told what time we need to be at the port or a single thing about the embarkation process! Where are we supposed to learn about what we need to do to have dinner in the restaurants, etc? Frustrating.
