  1. @Sthrngary Thanks @Sthrngary you have responded to my before my response was more for @Elvis1209 I feel his comment was uncalled for to just assume people are lazy when they just simply want to see if that is an convenience they can apply. I mean honestly if they will do it, I am happy to splurge extra tip for the trip they had to make across the ship and have them charge me for the drink because if I can get better drink and have to pay for it to go with a Davidoff pro blanco, it's worth it to me, I am on vacation I don't want to waste my time walking across when I can pay someone to do so while I enjoy each and every minute of my valuable time. Especially when my cigar is burning, I am having a great conversation and my bourbon is seeing bottom.
  2. I asked if there is anyway to get different drink, the guy although nice, politely said different bar is done differently, I tipped the guy good amount when I am there and he's always nice and attentive, but selection is a problem at times.
  3. Well my apologies, but the bar next to it don't always have the drink you want available, more than half of the menu if you can even call that a menu is not available from the bar outside of the cigar lounge in the prima when I was on the prima, hence why I asked. I didn't really ask to be insulted for what I think is legitimate question, but you must have been the guy who are better than everyone so I guess I appreciate your response after all me being the laziest person alive for wanting to have a good drink while smoking a cigar and can't leave because my cigar is still burning is just so wrong! My apologies for not want to leave my pricey cigar on the table just to walk across the ship and go grab a drink.
  4. @wolft927 my question would be if you're spending that much money and got a someone that you can't communicate with, why didn't you voice your issue to the concierge or head butler to have someone else assigned to you that can service you better? I mean something like this really have no remorse after the fact, so you really have to make sure you let someone know when you're not happy with the service provided the moment you are not happy with it. when we had a bad time on Prima, I made sure i let someone know about it. my case because i am not in haven and it's a known issue that there is no room to book anything, and things are all cancelled due to weather so there is nothing they can do for us, obviously no refund either since we were still on the ship just can't go to any shows. but something like i can't communicate with my butler should be something they can quickly resolve.
  5. @9tee2Sea keep in mind, peets' coffee is coffee, Starbucks is espresso (excluding coldbrews) so even if you get americano from Starbucks is still stronger than just Coffee, you probably just can't handle that amount of Caffeine, you'd be surprised to find out that most of coffee shop use the same factory to process their coffee with the same process, only difference are level of roast, choice of blends and packaging. the truth is there aint that many company out there that can handle this kind of massive roasting production, storing, gas off and packaging, so big names all use the same factory.
  6. i can appreciate that it's usually personal choices, but it seems like the personal choices are usually not based on the drink itself but the hatred of the brand itself. not to mention the Starbucks on board is not operate by Starbucks anyways, it's just licensed to operate as alternative branded choices, If there was another brand called Peets coffee or PlanetPenny coffee would you still make yourself a strong cup of NON-Coffee anyway? not like Starbucks a famous for teas.. the coffee bean used as premium coffee on the ship that are not stated as starbucks is probably Starbucks sourced bean too. I could appreciate a good cup of earl though, it's best fresh brewed anyway 🙂
  7. we just came back from Prima a month ago, and did not like it so much, it's more of a hotel on sea than a cruise on sea. I would recommend to do Haven on Prima because it's actually at a good location of the ship easy to go to pretty much everywhere you need to especially if you don't need to use the commodore for dinning and most importantly, it's easier to book everything because each show is all booked by the time we got on board at 10:30, and the app doesn't work so well. so you will have to depend on concierge to get you into anything. even the race way is all booked by the 3rd day. luckily the rest of the cruise had really bad weather so it's all cancelled so we didn't miss much of the race track. Prima is really a good concept poorly executed.
  8. Apologies since this is off subject, I don't Understand why the hate for Starbucks, you can have good drinks with out any syrup and they still do have good espresso beans, some how people just think that super automatic espresso machine some how is better. then we have people compare a French pressed coffee or brewed coffee, which in another word can't tell the difference between coffee bean bath water vs espresso. if you like American coffee then yes, the latte stuff is not for you. but if you enjoy espresso, Starbucks aint bad at all. getting a latte without vanilla syrups should be no different than getting a latte anywhere else that may use the same region of coffee beans. just an opinion since I always see people get all fire up over people getting Starbucks, for someone that roast my own beans and make coffee at home, the difference aint that big from any other coffee place that makes a latte. unless you are drinking coffee bath water.
  9. @UKstages Thank you for the clarification, we booked the Spa Suite so you can imagine why I ask those questions having being outside of haven facility all the way on the other side, it's been mentioned that the haven drinks is a cut above, so it having enjoying a cigar a good drink would be nice, not that I cant take 10 minute walk to the other side and get a drink and another 10 minutes back holding 2 cups of old fashion, with my travel humidor balanced on my head walking toward the humidor lounge. I just wanted to find out if I can avoid having to do that every night or have to settle for poorly stocked bar (we just came back from Prima a month ago, and the bar next to the humidor lounge don't have half the stuff that are on the menu. In the end we believe being able to set a realistic expectation is to do enough research ask enough question to know where the line really is to get the most out of it. of course that also goes with utilizing and compensate the butler reasonably based on how close to that expectation line they go. I've only seen RC concierge in action, obviously different brand different expectation, but their service seems to be out of this world like one butler to one room in comparison from what you get from NCL. reading the 2 Giant information thread from @Sthrngary I slowly come to an understand that the NCL butler is basically room attendant that would also contact concierge for you. Either way, even though I feel this response to my question are little over reacted defensive for the butlers, I guess i am too young to get the eliza doolitle reference and never tried the haven almond croissant yet to see if that's something I would want to risk to have in the spa, I appreciate all the response to my questions, and I think you for taking the time to communicate.
  10. @Sthrngary reading your posts is addicting, the more I read it the more I wish there was a 2023 update. But I couldn't find it. I read in every single of your information there is a statement that if Butler brings your alcohol to your room there will be a charge regardless your drink plan, I am wondering about about not to my room? For example if I am at the humidor cigar lounge and I used the handy tiny coreless phone and called my Butler ask for a drink from the haven lounge, does that cost additional as well? Or for that matter if I call for a starbucks that are covered in my plan to be delivered to me when I am at another section of the ship would that be a request they honor and not charge the drink seperately? Apologize in advance if this has been asked, I am still learning to what extend we can utilize the Butler. Another question is in your case the you allow the Butler to enter to drop off coffee in the morning, but how far do they enter? Or do they just open the door and leave it at the door way? I think it's cool to get a nice coffee waiting in the morning but I would want them to really walk in and look at me half naked with weird sleeping pose. Thanks for all the information provided, it's really interesting to read before my haven spa suite experience next year.
