We are currently in 6058. Adjacent to the elevator lobby. I like the convenience, no noise
Good to know. It was the last cabin on port side for British Isles in Aug. so I booked it reluctantly. Feeling better now!

We are looking forward to your blog. Flying home today. We enjoyed the time we spent with you both.

We did a two day tour independently with SBP-Tours.com. Excellent time with them and great communication. It is a beautiful city and lots to see.

We will be off to our next cruise around Japan in a week. We wondered about the same thing and asked a Japanese colleague of my wife what to being (since small gifts are sometimes the only tip the guides will accept).
She said to bring little chocolate easter bunnies (which are all over the stores in Germany now). Preferably from Lindt and may be the non traditional colorful ones... she said her family in Japan goes crazy when she brings them.
Thanks, love that idea.

What would be an appreciated small gift to bring for our private guides?

From the website description it looks like it’s a Traditional Korean Performance in Busan on 20th April. It should show up in your Voyage Planner.
Thank you for that date. -
I cannot find a date for our AZAmazing night. We are on the circle Japan, April 14, 2019. Can you help?

I will check out the apps that are listed.
I use the Rome2Rio app that explains how to get from point A to point B by different travel modes, walking, bus and train, etc.
I also use WhatsApp to make calls over wifi and put my phone on airplane mode so I do not get roaming charges.

We have tickets to the Tropicana next week and would like to take a cab there and back. Are they plentiful at the pier and average cost?
What would be a good time to leave the pier?

I found my subscribed roll calls on the right hand side. Click on your CC name and find it under Manage Followed Content.

Thanks for the heads up.

Can anyone comment on the VX deluxe verandah cabins. Fore and aft
Also..how can I access the spreadsheet. I clicked on it in first 10 pages but it was a work in progress ( few staterooms referenced initially).
Appreciate the effort involved. Thanks

You can use the search function for this thread. Just put in the stateroom number and if there is a review it will come up.

We liked Red Fish, Blue Fish on Front St. Good food and pleasant wait staff.

My husband and I are on the cruise before yours departing on April 14, 2019 and are interested in getting some private guides. Would you be willing to share the name of the guide you are working with in Kitakyushu?
If you have info on guides in other ports we would be interested in those as well.
So far Azamara is not listing any excursions except for Busan and we would like to begin planning our time in the ports now.
Hi Cruise Gal#16,
Hope you join us on our roll call and sign up for the meet & Mingle

Hi Fellow Cruisers.
My husband and I are looking forward to our first cruise with Azamara to celebrate our 10 yr anniversary. As this is technically our first holiday since our honeymoon we are pulling out all the stops and spoiling ourselves by staying in a top suite.
We are on the 10 day Cuba intensive on Nov 24 and are really keen to do one of the classic American car tours when in Havana. We have checked out some of the private operators vs booking thru Azamara and like the fact that we can select a specific car and itinerary if we go direct (plus it is significantly cheaper) but the protection of Azamara is also appealing.
We know you get what you pay for but in this circumstance are we better to cut out the middle man (being Azamara) so the Cuban operators get the most for the service they are offering or are we taking an unnecessary risk. We have plenty of OBC so money is not really the issue.
Thanks in advance to any experienced Cuban Azamara Cruisers.
Cheers,
Emma

When purchasing tickets directly with Tropicana does the ticket have dress code instructions? Is the show held in a big indoor theater or outdoors?

Which River?
The Nile. Spend a few days in Cairo and then fly to Luxor or Aswan and cruise before flying back to Cairo.
-
I am looking at River cruises. Viking, Scenic and Uniworld. There are probably others.
-
I am just starting to research a trip to Egypt and Petra and came across this video.
Enjoy.

Seats were excellent (first table next to the stage).
We booked those tickets also. What time did you get there to have that table?
How long was the cab ride?
-
Go on the roll call for your ship and date. More likely to get a response there. If you don’t find a roll call start one. Good luck

Viking has tasty scones and clotted cream at afternoon tea, at least to my American way of thinking.

On the day our tours opened. I set the alarm for 3am. We are on the east coast. I got everything we wanted. I booked the tours we had to pay for first and then went back for the included ones. I had back up times for included tours and had to switch twice. We are DV2.

Looking at the map you see land in the beginning of the trip on the starboard side and then when it comes back around the island port side will give you land views.
