Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Hi Minnie, Had the same, bid on six, only got "the big no" e-mails on five. Just had a week in cornwall, now the Baltic tomorrow, and you?
  2. Thanks for the info Stary, we are new to all this, so do we bring the issue to the check-in staff or wait until onboard and the pursers desk? On our cruise the availability since our bids were rejected hasn't changes. Do we "offer" the same bids or will they present us with an offer?
  3. Six bids all refused (by e-mail), two were to the max on the "slider". All the suites are still showing as available on a "ghost bid".
  4. Seems to be different in the UK. Once you have paid the final amount Celebrity will not entertain any changes put forward by the travel agency.
  5. Newwesty.. Thanks for your thoughts. Annoyed with myself for only doing "ghost bids" for the suites such that there is no way of seeing if the reduction of available suites is matched by increased avaialbility in other cabins. With regard to throwing in the towel, (which we may well do with "needing" two suites with only seven now avaialbe) does anyone know is the 72 hour cutoff for cancelling bids related to the departure time or three clear days before the departure date?
  6. 5th June on Sillouette, two couples both bidding for a suite, looking reasonable availability with 14 suites showing (in a ghost bid) available last night. As of this morning that has reduced to 7, I wonder if the reduction is the first run of "move up's". Seems a bit late for guests paying £15K to be planning a holiday! Still pending on both our applications but may pull the plug today as it would be a disaster if only one of us got a suite (with all the access restrictions/restaurants associated with the retreat). Your thoughts?
  7. Another question from this "first timer"... We are in an Aqua cabin and are bidding to move into a suite. If one of our bids was successful then that would throw up our cabin for some other bidder (from a lower cabin than Aqua) the chance to "move up". A win win for Celebrity with the monies from two upgrades coming in. So the question... Is the "offer" (the figures on the slider) the same for everybody and are all bidders offered the same upgrade list that we received (all the way to the royal suite)?
  8. Starship, you seem to be "up to speed" with this "Move up". We have a cruise on the same day but a different ship, all our bids are "Pending". Is that good or bad?
