Depending on how long you are in port, it should be doable. They are both great excursions...have a wonderful cruise.
-
My best advice is to be prepared for the "whip-lash" like ending....keep your head as stable as possible and your core tight...that will help minimize the effect. And keep looking forward! Have fun and enjoy your cruise! :)

It is not a smooth stop....very abrupt. You do not control the stop. I know many people love this excursion, but I much prefer the regular zip line where you are going between trees.

I have been on 10 Alaska cruises and have developed a packing list that works for me. You can view it here: https://zest4travel.wordpress.com/2017/02/20/what-do-i-pack-for-alaska/ Happy sailing!

I would not recommend taking a camera on this zipline. It is very fast, very high and an abrupt stop at the end. You will need your hands/arms to help absorb the shock at the end.

I have done all directions of the Alaska cruises....have really enjoyed the RT Seattle option. Very easy to fly in day of embarkation and eliminate a hotel stay. Of course, if you want to see Seattle, there are many hotel options in downtown. I found lots of helpful port information (and a packing list) on http://www.zet4travel.wordpress.com You have to scroll through the posts, but they are there. Have a wonderful cruise.

Here is a link to a packing list....there are some good posts about the ports and glaciers here also. https://zest4travel.wordpress.com/2017/02/20/what-do-i-pack-for-alaska/

Call the Captain's Club prior to sailing. They will be able to assist you in switching rooms. Of course, you can also do this after boarding, but if you can handle it earlier, why not? We have moved guaranteed cabins on previous cruises with no problems.

We visited this bar on the Equinox last March. Never saw a food menu but there was an extensive list of beers available and wines that are not available in other venues. The Gastro Pub took over the location of Cellar Masters.

Anchorage?
in Alaska
If you are a baseball fan...Anchorage has a local team. Here is a link to their schedule: http://www.glacierpilots.com/view/glacierpilots
There is also a great biking trail in town also and bike rentals downtown. http://anchoragecoastaltrail.com
Of course, the museums in downtown are excellent. And just walking around is fun. Enjoy your trip.

Are you stopping in Icy Straight Point at all? If so...there is excellent beach access there.
-
You MIGHT be able to move into a Family Verandah if one is available....if the price is lower than the cabin you are currently in. Never hurts to try....call the Captain's Club first...they seem to have more leeway than the call center. Good luck.

It is too far to hike/walk to the start of the zipline. Bus is required. Here is a link to their website:

We booked a GTY cabin (concierge) on our last cruise...March 24th. We assigned a cabin in C1 and our son (solo cruiser) was in C3. We called and asked to have him moved to a cabin next door to us...we were willing to pay the additional charge. The charge never happened! Needless to say...we were happy and surprised!
If you are happy with your location, call the Captain's Club and ask them to mark your reservation as "no move".

It can take several days for those to appear on your booking. Keep and eye on your account also....sometimes the prepaid gratuities like to slip back on and it shows a balance owing. All it takes it a quick call to get them removed.

It looks like you will be sailing on the Eclipse...correct? Here is a fun little video of her sister ship, the Equinox. Ships will be very similar....hope you have two wonderful cruises!
-
I was on a Misty Fjord flight shortly after that accident. Pilot was extremely careful and we felt very safe. We actually flew over the crash site. Accidents can happen on any excursion....busses, cars, trains, planes...doesn't matter. Why deny yourself a wonderful experience just because an accident happened in the past? Ships have also had problems....does that keep you from sailing?

bluwes is correct....the Gastropub has tvs for sports....just ask them to put the game on (as long as the satellite can pick it up). We were onboard the Equinox during the basketball playoffs and they always had the games on. The casino lounge also has access.
-
Definitely call....this happened to us for our March cruise this year. We also booked Go Best...but they added the gratuities on and did not remove the charge. Either customer service or the Captain's Club will be happy to assist you.
