First hand information on the Emerald Sky -- I was on the ship when that happened. It was NOT our captains fault. It was around midnight and he could see the freighter coming, he moved as far as he could, signaled and called - but the freighter hit us and never stopped! That ship's captain was later stopped and arrested. Emerald did an amazing job, no one was hurt - I never even got out of bed 😉 They continued the cruise and we just bused a bit farther for the last two stops. All was well.
