Hello - I have been asked to go on a cruise in Alaska on QE by some very good friends. I would be traveling solo. They have already booked in the Queens Grill which I cannot afford especially as a solo cruiser and apparently having to buy a suit or at very least a sport coat. Other than dinning (I understand I cannot join them in the Queens Grill but we could eat together in all the other venues) are there any other major differences that would make this situation awkward?

This is our first cruise so we did go with Celebrity excursions even though we understand this is possibly more expensive and not as varied. Thank you all for the input! This makes so much more sense than people just randomly trying to get to buses or whatever.

Hello there. My sisters and I will be taking our first cruise ever on Edge from Rome to Barcelona on Sept. 30th. I have just a couple questions on the start times for the excursions. I assume that the start time is the time that we need to be off the boat and on the bus or meeting point. Is that correct? On average how much time does it take to get off the boat and to the meeting point? How much longer if it is a tender port? I was looking for some sort of chart from Celebrity showing something like this but I could not find anything. Thanks for reading!

So tagging onto this thread instead of a new one. Has anyone used the combo check in option at the Port of Barcelona? The airport states that you can hand your bags over at the port and they will go to the airport. Not available for all airlines but American is one of them. "For passengers from a cruise and must to take a flight at Barcelona airport, Barcelona port facilities have 16 check-in desks intended for this operational Port-airport. The luggage is transferred directly to the airport, controlled by the automatic baggage handling system."
