Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. And I booked the thermal spa for a cruise in June (and others in the roll call on another site are saying that Vibe was available. I'd had it for months, but it had sold out of the "old quantity," I guess). I guess NCL's systems are wising up to the reality of what happened in dry dock :).
  2. Realize this is an old(er) post, but the real infuriating thing about all of this is that not all cruises that are eligible show up for mere mortals on the NCL website. I'm on a transatlantic on Prima in November, which is apparently eligible. I was looking at the promo fine print for something else. and noticed verbiage about "transatlantic and transpacific sailings" being eligible, but I couldn't find this specific cruise on the "Past Guest Offer" page. Called up my (non-NCL) TA, and he said it came up for him. Just to be triply sure, I had him send me the NCL confirmation when I rebooked, and sure enough, there's LATITUDE on it. This cruise is still not on the page as eligible. The 16 points were worth the $500 increase to me, though.
  3. LOVE the cheese ravioli appetizer, and I'm a meatatarian (if there is no meat I don't eat it!) and that was worth it. Small portion, though. Personally I'd give the tilapia a try, but no personal experience.
  4. Speaking of Q, are you planning on dining there? I'm on the Joy in June and have a reservation at Q but have heard mixed reviews. Would love some intel on that! And can't NCL come up with a better term than "Unidentified Luggage"? 🤣. Sorry to hear yours wasn't there, perhaps because it's been identified?
  5. Definitely out here and following every post with bated breath! My email notifications seem to be iffy even though I have them turned on for every post. I run my own M365 email for personal use, and found in the Exchange Admin Center that the messages were being held because they were "phishing emails". LOL! Just something to check on.
  6. Thanks! I didn't know if he would do that and if it would make it seem like I thought he was lying to me or something. Maybe I'm overthinking it. Just to confirm, that LATITUDE in yours means you're receiving extra points for this sailing, right? Also, seeing your upcoming sailings - the one in question is the Prima TA going the other direction in November! Can't wait!
  7. Does anyone know how to get the list of codes on your reservation if you booked through a TA? It's not on the TA's invoice, and I want to confirm that I have LATITUDE on mine for extra points. It's a weird thing where I can't see the offer on NCL's site, but he said it applied. Looking at the current terms on NCL's website, it looks like it would. But I'd like confirmation that it's actually there.
  8. Vibe goes on sale when the cruise does, I think. I have it booked for a November transatlantic (and hope that I get good use out of it, got it mainly for the hot tubs) on Prima.
  9. Unfortunately, I don't think it is - if you read the terms when redeeming for OBC, it says this, which would imply to me it's non-refundable OBC, which makes no sense but whatever. Best to use for a statement credit if you're going to go that way: Onboard credit must be used or WorldPoints® points will be forfeited. Onboard credit may not be used toward onboard service charges or pre-purchased activities.
  10. Blergh. Inside is more than $1K more than I paid for a studio (and studio has gone up $300 from what I paid). Insanity. Is this the "new ship tax?" I wouldn't think that a TA would be this insanely priced.
  11. Question that I haven't seen covered - for a cross-meta upgrade, is a studio concerned it's own meta, or is it non-upgradeable using points? I am on the Nov 7 Prima Transatlantic in a studio and the balconies are insanely priced. Wondering if I can do a double cross-meta upgrade for it? Just got the card and could manufacture enough points with excursions/paying for the cruise/etc.
  12. This seems like it should be a FAQ, but I can't seem to find an answer anywhere (and I'm a first time cruiser and poster, be kind!). I'm a solo cruiser in a studio, so get one specialty meal with FAS. Upgraded to FAS Plus, so I get two more for a total of three. Made reservations for said three meals. So far so good. I'm at Cagney's on embarkation day (8PM so I can enjoy sailaway), Ocean Blue day 2, and Le Bistro on another sea day later in the cruise. So far so good. Let's say that I pop into American Diner for lunch on day 2. Can I decline using the SDP and pay a la carte being that I have the reservations already? Also, somewhat unrelated, but the terms are unclear. Are the wine dispensers in the studio lounge included in the Premium Plus beverage package I get with FAS Plus? The terms say "Includes unlimited fountain soda, freshly squeezed juice, bottled water (still and sparkling), energy drinks, non-alcoholic beer, wine dispensers, and specialty coffee." However, below that it says "Does not include room service, mini bar purchases, vending machines, or pre-cruise wine bottle purchases, or Connoisseur Collection beverages." Is the thing in the studio lounge a wine dispenser (included) or a vending machine (not included)? Why make it so confusing?
