  1. We were 10 days without power and just got our AT&T Landline back a few hours ago.

One of our favorite fish camps had 2' of water from the storm surge along the St John's River. They are busy cleaning up and hope to reopen next week.

We were lucky. The wind speed in our area never went above 100 mph. Lots of branches and palm fronds down but no damage or flooding for us.

  2. There is plenty of good info out there for those of us who know where to look for it.

We live in Flagler County, just north of Volusia County and Daytona Beach on the East Coast.

Here is the Flagler County flood zone and evacuation map. I have added an arrow to the approximate location of our house.

We plan to shelter in place as there is no danger of being flooded out.

We live in the country so the first heavy clouds and rain will shut down our satellite TV and Internet. We expect this.

The loss of electricity is our main worry. We will sit with our fingers crossed and hope it doesn't happen.

  3. We are old & tired and leave the excursions to the younger crowd.

But we really enjoyed taking our rollators ashore at Falmouth.

We stayed inside the port area but were able to roll around at our leisure, resting when we needed to, looked at things, and watched the people.

On many occasions we would hire a taxi for a tour of the island and its attractions.

We always looked forward to the port call in Falmouth!
