  1. I’ve just been working on my latest holiday vid Lois that features the solo verandah on the edge. Hopefully will finish it before you sail.
  2. Well I Must admit, Eurovision 24 was a triumph. Not only have we Peed off the rest of Europe so much by leaving their little club that our little entry earned nil points in the public vote, but more importantly, we have solved a mystery that has has been ongoing for some time. Whatever happened to Bagpuss? I Believe that that poor old saggy cloth cat has been murdered by the EU bigwigs and made into a Bolero Jacket for this years winner. What depths will they stoop to? What must Emily be thinking? And that pink skirt really didn’t flatter him. I’ve seen better legs hanging out of a nest.
  3. Falling overboard is very frowned upon here WWFT, whereas falling over in general is par for the course. Vouvray Las Vegas.
  4. As a hotly debated topic, please feel free to post your recommendation’s, preferences, disappointments and tips to enjoy your favourite wines onboard.
  5. Some things really are worth travelling north of Watford for Jeff, just ignore the maps that say “ theyre be dragons”. 😁 I’ve seen many posts from friends tonight from Wales, Manchester, Lancashire, Yorkshire and The Wirral. Being a Friday night though, I assume the Scott’s were busy.
  6. My first time seeing the Aurora tonight. Looks like they’re visible over much of the uk. What a show!
  7. I Was utterly infuriated TM! Every moment of my life, I’ve always known exactly where I was and where everything else was but for 4 days I didn’t know my left from my right or my North from my South.
  8. This map reminds me of my complete and entirely uncharacteristic lack of getting my bearings in my first few days in Oz. I Was furious. My sense of direction beats anything out of any SatNav but my first few days down there I hadn’t a clue what was where. It felt like I’d lost my superpower and had to ask people where my Hotel was. So much shame.
  9. They look really lovely Jeff. Certainly beats Mothers Pride!
  10. Cheering you on M. You set out on your adventure before I did and despite my being away for a month, I returned home several lifetimes ago. What amazing things you have seen and experienced on this epic adventure. Much love to you both xxx
  11. I’d say considering by about 4. 😁
  12. Glad to have you back Lois. I Had similar myself recently.
  13. I believe she’s on holiday at the moment. No announcements that I’ve heard have been made.
  14. There's no cure Lola, If Bro-coli goes anywhere near my food I can't touch it. It harks back to an incident involving several hundred pieces of additional protein that were extremely well hidden within the florets and only made their presence known when it went into the boiling water. I Can't even look at it since.
  15. Well it is now showing as being booked again. I Can’t get any explanation as to what has happened or why but at least it’s booked again. I’m a bit wary of booking and paying for my excursions just yet in case it happens again.
  16. Well it opened here straight away and triggered my lachanaphobia instantly. Bro-coli everywhere. Shudder.
  17. Whilst I’m quite happy to be frank about Viking. They require full payment a ridiculous amount of time ahead and refuse any refunds even when they have cancelled the cruise themselves. I Sat through torturess hours listening to my partner fighting them tooth and nail to refund cruises that they had cancelled themselves in the lockdown and with no result. They are a company with no morals and rely heavily upon their t&cs which should be digested in great detail before you part with your hard earned cash. But thinking about it, if you name your company after a race that is renowned for their raping and pillaging prowess why would you expect anything different?
  18. It could turn into a war then Lola, Comestibles vs Combustibles!
  19. Thanks for that DvD, I had seen it. I Went straight to look but January 25 has 2 voyages, neither of which are either possible, desirable or doable for me. I'm about to finalise things on a South African adventure for Jan 25 though.
  20. Trivia on a train isn't quite such a bloodsport as on a ship. I Recently took the Indian Pacific from Perth to Sydney and almost nobody was injured (physically) by the afternoon sessions. With only 4 days onboard, nobody started cocking their leg on a particular table or employed Jedi mind tricks. The difference may lie in there not being any valuable points offered but that's above my pay grade.
