  1. Ah, but do you remember the Ponderosa? Did you ever work with my bestie, Mandy Jones?
  2. What you’re describing is exactly why keto works. Humans aren’t designed to eat carbs and carbs are what lead most people into type 2. I’d never really been on a “diet” before but my curiosity led me to do plenty of research on the science behind it and enticed me into giving it a go. It was easy to follow, I felt a huge difference myself and the weight just dropped off me. My trousers went from a snug 36” to a luxurious 30”. A great excuse for acquiring some new pieces. with regard to dementia, we’re in the final stages of it with my 15 year old sprocker.
  3. Personally I'm hoping to be eaten by a crocodile at 108 years of age after my hot air balloon crashes somewhere very picturesque on a holiday where I blow my last pound. Spaniels, unlike cats, have no interest in their inheritance. I Went Keto once before and dropped 4 1/2 stone in 4 months eating meat and cheese and slathering everything in butter and double cream. It's taken me 4 years of consistent enjoyment to undo that work. Tbh I Have lots of little hacks that help do away with any cravings. A Few months without certain things certainly makes you appreciate them more when you return to them. I Still remember my first bacon butty after those 4 months. Local home sweet cured thick cut bacon on thick cut Tiger bread from our local bakery slathered in butter, drizzled with HP and a duck egg from my next door neighbour. The planning and anticipation of that simple meal was half the fun.
  4. I’ve gone on the Keto diet Jeff. I Don’t know any other diet that you could get away with a meal like that. Side was cherry tomatoes and feta drizzled with a little olive oil, garlic and herbs.
  5. He's an extremely handsome boy. Wishing you many years of happiness together WWFT.
  6. I’d disagree entirely with the first sentence and agree completely with the second. Any honourable company would ensure that their concessions conduct their businesses in an honourable way also, knowing the damage that can be done to their reputation. Unless of course the reason that they won’t intervene is because RCI have put the squeeze on the spa operators too. I Can’t see where else their expenses could have increased to the level that they would need to consider such shabby behaviour.
  7. Agreed JP. Wearing with socks should carry a minimum penalty of a keel haul and a maximum penalty of a Carnival cruise.
  8. He might have put her up in a flat though whilst he painted melting watches and elephants.
  9. Is anybody else getting slightly freaky page refreshes and view next posts? Things are getting jumbled to the point where I’m doubting my poor little mind.
  10. Seems to me to be what happens when the finance department rule over all others including both the people that have to deliver what has been promised and those that promise it. Unless some balance is redressed soon, the damage to the brand will be extremely hard, if not impossible, to repair.
  11. Another fine Hotel, at my time at the Savoy they also owned The Lygon Arms. I Never worked there, only visited. Sounds like a great tour Emtb. I'm glad you had a wonderful lunch MissSophia but I'm sorry to hear about the other business. Which "little Cheshire village" do you hail from Lola. I Was brought up on the Wirral.
  12. I Used to smoke Sobrani Cocktails when I went to the Summer Balls in London, lovely memories. I’m not sure ham, chips and egg is still on the menu Lola. I Remember when I was there there in 89 we had a dish on the brasserie menu, Choucroute Alsacienne and ladies were warned off ordering it due to the rather startling appearance of the wurst in the garnish. I’m not sure they’d bother these days.
  13. Have a fabulous time MissSophia. Lovely Hotel. I Did my work experience from college at the Grosvenor. Is Sunday lunch in the Arkle these days?
  14. I Know that they can be a little eccentric but they often make for very good company. I For enjoy dressing up for dinner each evening whilst on a cruise, it’s the only chance I get. If others choose to or not is of no consequence to me, it’s their choice entirely.
  15. See the caution at the bottom. A Price worth paying I think.
  16. This may come in handy for those with upcoming cruises.
  17. I think my Bertie would enjoy a cruise, he’s a real people watcher.
  18. I Find myself getting irritated by those that think they’re above the rules. A Friend of mine is kept alive by of her Hypo Hound. He saves her life on a weekly basis. The thought that people jump on the bandwagon with emotional support animals (which is a whole can of worms) is what I don’t like.
  19. That's a bit ruff Lola.
  20. That was my reading of it too QSS. Of course, one line without any context, follow up, punctuation or clarification does leave it open to many interpretations. It might not even have been a question. There was no question mark.
  21. Which members of the nobility are you referring to? Or are you just taking a snipe at those Britts that make an effort to dress for dinner?
