Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. If it will be the one and only Alaska cruise for your friend, then yes.
  2. My husband used a CPAP. On the long and VERY helpful CPAP thread several people mentioned using extension cords. Are we allowed to bring from home? Are there rules on those? Or is this something you borrow from the ship?
  3. I had no idea you could just upgrade the wifi separately. Good to know. First time cruising with Princess. Guess I need to do more research
  4. Hi, I added on the princess premier package... mainly because I need to do some work while on board - its work a little or don't get to go.. So, I'll happily work a little. Anyways, with it comes 2 specialty dining. How do I book that? When I try to book dining reservation using the app, it tries to bill the CC that I have on file. Will it automatically take back off the charge? Or is there a special way to book using my package? Thanks.
  5. Just an FYI when you are picking your port, all halibut fishing is closed to keeping/ shipping home on Wednesdays in south central Alaska. (Catch and release only)
  6. Hi. I’d like to book manicures for my soon to be 18 but not yet daughter and myself on the grand princess. We’d like to go together. I tried booking with the app but can’t figure out how to book for the two of us at the same time. I tried calling princess but the agent I got said they couldn’t help at that time. Bad agent? And I should try again? Or is it really not possible?
  7. So, new to this forum, tried searching, couldn't find it. But it seems odd it wouldn't exist. So I apologize if this is a question you all get often. But here goes... Traveling northbound Vancouver to Whittier, second half of July. What are the temps that I can expect? If you are visiting a glacier - Glacier Bay, Hubbard, Mendenhall etc. will the glaciers act as big ice cubes/ air conditioning for the outside world and even in July I should plan on coats/ hats? or just a sweatshirt? I booked excursions (some hiking, some kayaking - tried to get in a variety) - but don't really know what to expect weather wise, other than it'll probably rain some. Everyone says layers... Ok great. I hike ALOT. I'm used to layers. But what layer are we going up to? Puffy coat? or fleece/wool sweatshirt? I assume at the glacier or in a kayak would require warmer clothes than while on ship?
