  1. The way I understand guarantee bookings work is that you are guaranteed a cabin of the category you booked the guarantee or better, But you pay the fare of the cabin you booked. So if you booked a guarantee A2, you pay the price of an A2, But you could end up in an A1 or a Penthouse. Maybe I'm not understanding it correctly, but that is how I thought it worked.
  2. It is in Oceania's brochure, and I have gotten 2 emails saying the service is available.
  3. Check with the Airline you are flying back. Turns out I can check 2 bags of 70 lbs each coming back. So that helps. When I booked the cruise, it is a Grand Cruise, and the "sale" at that time was business class air is included on the cruise. That helps a lot. Now the Problem I have is that we have an hour and 15 minutes coming back to get through customs as JFK and our flight to DC. I don't think that is enough time.
  4. Looked at Vista's schedule. According to the itinerary, it looks like it is going through the Red Sea and Suez Canal in May 2025. Will it happen? Who knows. The ATW is LA to Miami. World Odyssey
  5. My whole thing is that they are offering a service perk, not sure if it is free for everybody, bbut it is free for me as part of the Grand Cruise, The ability to have extra luggage is important. My cruise is 50 days and goes from Miami, down to Antarcticaand back up to Rio, so it requires a large amount of clothes of all different weights. I just want what i being promised to me which is luggage shipped to and from the ship to my house. Oceania and Luggage First have sent me emails that say you don't have to worry about your luggage. You can ship 2 50lb suitcases from your house to the ship and back from the ship to your home. That is what is advertised and promised. If you can't do it, don't offer it.
  6. They will take the luggage to Miami, But for me, they won't pick it back up in Rio Please be advised that for LUGGAGE FORWARD, all turn ports can be shipped to with the exception of the following ports listed below; Ports Where Service is Currently Unavailable Country Port Argentina Buenos Aires Argentina Ushuaia Brazil Rio de Janeiro Colombia Cartagena (Colombia) Dominican Republic La Romana India Mumbai Indonesia Benoa (Bali) Malaysia Port Klang Peru Callao Taiwan Keelung Taiwan Kaohsiung On the Luggage Forward website, www.luggageforward.com it does state (if any of the above listed restricted ports are selected) that it is a destination with restricted service so it won’t allow you to book the service online. So sorry. Wish I had better news ☹ Warm Regards, Oceania Cruises 7665 Corporate Center Drive | Miami FL 33126
  7. I think it is Luggage forward that can't deliver, but Oceania needs to stop making it sound like they will deliver and pick up from every port
  8. That is the word I am getting. Still working on that, got another email today promising what they can't deliver
  9. Took me a while to figure this out. I'm a novice cruiser with just 2 10 day cruises under my belt. So I have 2 cruise credits now. Taking a grand cruise of 50 days in December/January, So I'll be getting 4 cruise credits for the Grand Cruise, so I will turn bronze on the cruise. I think I have that right noiw, let me know if I'm wrong.
  10. Vista Suites is how the thread started. The Oceania Suites face aft.
  11. Yes, you are correct. But I was speaking about Penthouse Suites. That was what the question was about.
  12. Penthouse suites are either Port or Starboard facing. The suites they are talking about face forward or Aft
  13. Back to the Luggage Forward problem, finally got an answer back from Oceania via my TA, doesn't really answer all the questions. Please be advised that for LUGGAGE FORWARD, all turn ports can be shipped to with the exception of the following ports listed below; Ports Where Service is Currently Unavailable Country Port Argentina Buenos Aires Argentina Ushuaia Brazil Rio de Janeiro Colombia Cartagena (Colombia) Dominican Republic La Romana India Mumbai Indonesia Benoa (Bali) Malaysia Port Klang Peru Callao Taiwan Keelung Taiwan Kaohsiung On the Luggage Forward website, www.luggageforward.com it does state (if any of the above listed restricted ports are selected) that it is a destination with restricted service so it won’t allow you to book the service online. So sorry. Wish I had better news ☹ Sent something back to my TA and asked about sending luggage back from Busios which is the port before Rio. I have a feeling that it is all Brazil, but figured I'd ask. I'm also not asking about a destination of Rio, but pickup from Rio.
  14. They also don't show the hot tub on the deck that used top be there before the refit. Haven't been able to get a definitive answer on if they are still there or not. My guess is that if there is no hot tub, there is room for a 2nd lounger. I plan on sking the butler for one if there isn't one out there.
  15. Thanks @susanrc. I just called to, and got the same answer you did. I had my TA check on this months ago, She had checked with Oceania and they told her they shipped back from Rio. I am really unhappy about this. Oceania has to know about this, just like they should know about Mumbai the original post on this thread. The woman I spoke toi at LF said she had worked there for 3 years, and beause of customs issues, they have neer shipped back from Brazil while she worked there, so this is not a new thing. Now I'm going to have to figure out what to leave behind when I pack.
  16. Thanks for letting me know this. Have my TA on it to check it out. Fingers crossed

  18. Thanks, I got my email from them on Monday, do you know when you got this email from Luggage Forward?
  19. The OP is talking about Mumbai, I am the only one on this thread I think that has talked about Brazil
  20. Yes I am, flying down tio Miami on the 6th. I think you are going on the trip to Lima, not sure if you are going further. Hope to see you on board.
  21. I'm using LugageForward for my Grand Voyage in December/January. I got an email from them on Monday confirming that they will deliver my bags to the ship in Miami and ship them back from Rio. very few details about anything, butg at least I have confirmation from them.
  22. I think they were sayiong within 3 days after boarding. You don't have to do it before boarding, but you can't wait for a week or 2 to buy the upgrade
