  1. The princess website still lists fountain sodas as included in the packages. Maybe they are just handing them out without charging for the cans since it might be quicker and easier. My sister's family experience the charging of cans of soda on the Majestic earlier this year. https://www.princess.com/en-us/cruise-deals-promotions/plus-premier-cruise-packages
  2. Are they ordering the correct items? You mention cans of soda, these are NOT included in the packages - only soda fountain drinks are included. If they are getting cans then these are paid extras - maybe they are getting them charged against their alcohol limit instead of paying for them. The same with the water - only 500ml bottles are included in the packages, are they buying 1liter bottles? These would be paid extras since they are not included in the packages.
  3. I am just catching up on this thread and am shocked at this photo. Even before Covid I always traveled with Lysol wipes, and now I know that on my next cruise I will have to disassemble everything in my cabin to wipe down. Look at that filth hiding under the cover. If I found that I would have spent the entire evening scrubbing down my cabin. I wouldn't have been able to sleep. Maybe I should plan on bringing a toolkit on my next cruise so I can do a deep clean. Okay, now back to enjoying your photos of food and drink...
  4. I just rebooked for the first time. I have always booked new cruises within the 90 days and so never had the "fun" of rebooking to get a lower price. I just booked a new cruise, choosing the cabin next door and saved about $400. And then called and cancelled previous booking. One thing I noticed is that adding the Plus package at booking changes the deposit. Without the package the deposit was $99, but if adding the Plus package the deposit went up to $400. I guess there is no way around having to front Princess the cash by adding a package. All in all, about 30 minutes of my time to cancel and rebook, but I saved $400...
  5. Since we are in the saving money section... I'll confess that I don't need to use the laundry on cruises. Mostly it would be just for underwear. To not have to do laundry of essentials, I bring along old underwear that I can toss along the way. Throughout the year, I keep all the items that I would normally toss that have worn out elastic bands in the waist and t-shirts where the collar droops. Then I can wear them on vacation and toss them without doing laundry - with the added bonus that this frees up space in my luggage for any souvenirs.
