  1. Hi all,

If any of you have toured with Joyce, you know what a great person she is and how much she loves her island. I finally heard back from her last night and she is well but lost the roof on her home, her office, most of her possessions and had damage to her vans.

If you are interested in helping her out, please let me know and I'll send you her contact info in Florida. Her brother lives there and is going to buy supplies and get them to her.

She truly asks that everyone send their prayers!

  2. Agree - it's the only Princess ship going all the way 'round South America and through the Canal this winter. And posters like partybarbie and others give me encouragement that it will be fine. Sure, if I could pick any Princess ship to do this trip, I'd have picked something else, but the trip is the thing and the ship will be fine. I just want it to have good staff.

We are in the same boat, so to speak! (Pun intended!) The Island is the only ship doing partial transit at a time when we can go on the cruise. So, that's what we'll do. It may not be our first choice of ship, but we really want to do this itinerary at this time, so the Island it is!

  3. Just got off the Equinox last weekend. We loved the ship. The crew is always cleaning and making sure that she looks her best. My only problem was with the chairs on deck 5. They definitely need to have the cushions replaced- many with holes and very worn.

Cabin was in great shape as were all of the other public areas.

  4. SHIP: Equinox

    CABIN #: 1208

    DECK #: 10

    CLASS: C1

    AREA: Aft

    BED NEAR: Bathroom

    QUIET?: Very!

    BALCONY VIEW: Aft

    BALCONY SIZE: standard

    WIND A PROBLEM?: No

    SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

This was a great cabin! Be aware that it's a long walk to the back of the ship, even from the aft stairs and elevator. This was not a problem for us, but might be if you have mobility issues.

  5. My husband and I ARE ON THE JULY 23RD CRUISE FROM MIAMI

BEEN CRUISIN BEFORE BUT NOT ON CELEBRITY

We are in an Aft ( always prefer these cabins) on the 8 th floor

Would love one upper.. but not available

    Love to meet people at

the bar - we love having fun with bartenders and people

    See you there

We're on this cruise too and we have a very active role call. Come on over and join us!

  6. ;)

You don't speak for all of us seasoned cruisers. We loved the ship, sailed on her before and after the refit.

And with 55 Princess cruises , and we have sailed on every Princess ship . I wouldn't call it my favorite ship, but had a really nice cruise experience while on board.

Thanks for saying what I was thinking!! Looking forward to our Island cruise next year!

  7. We've booked ocean view cabins for our next three Princess sailings. Two would be covered under the time frame for S & S. To upgrade to a balcony with the AIBP would be $1800 more for our 14 day cruise on the Crown and $660 more for our 10 day cruise on Island in December 2018. We didn't feel the need for balconies and don't think there's any way that would be worth it for us just to get a free beverage package.

Hopefully the 3 for Free promotion will come out afterwards and cover our oceanview cabins!

  8. I have been thinking about this as well for our Equinox cruise in July. We will definitely upgrade my husband to the Premium package, as he will most likely drink enough to make up the difference. I will not- upgrading for one martini a night will not cover the extra money, so I plan to just pay as I go for my drinks.

The upgrade costs $11.80 per day, so that would mean I'd need to have several drinks on the premium package to cover that.

  9. I just got back from 5 nights in San Juan. Never saw a single insect! This isn't mosquito season. That being said, I wouldn't bring my pregnant daughter there. But, if you aren't even contemplating pregnancy, I wouldn't worry.

  10. I know it's an all inclusive but is there anything there you need cash for (other than tipping)? Messages? Thanks

Massages were available at $25 cash for 30 minutes. Definitely worth it!
