We sail on the Infinity Oct. 1 - hoping there is no current shortage of escargot? Are they on the everyday menu these days? Thanks!
Celebrity wants to please all. This is not for me (escargot)....

So we made final payment last week for a celebrity cruise and today the price dropped $200 per person!! TA says I can pay some more, $260 pp, and go to a sky suite, or I can have A1 aqua class which they consider an upgrade. Well, we booked C1 specifically to have an aft balcony cabin which aqua doesn't offer plus aqua is actually less expensive than C1, and I don't want to pay extra for a sky suite which also isn't aft. I'm not too pleased now, I would prefer a shipboard credit. Any solutions or suggestions would be appreciated.
I have been in this position also, have your TA fight for you.

We are heading back to Maine for our last stop tomorrow. We were blessed with beautiful weather so far with just a little morning rain one day and a few brief showers in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. Nearly everything about the cruise was great.
We had coupons on this cruise as well as the Elite reception in Revelations.
There is a daily vegetarian menu in the MDR; just ask.
Formal nights were first sea day, sea day on the way into Quebec and tonight. (It might be different if your itinerary is different. And, it was not what the printed on the first day schedule.
Many people who were confirmed for early dining did not get it because they had 1300 requests (we were told). They added 175 seats from select dining, which meant that it was hard to get early reservations. Check with the dining room early!
I’ll post more when I get home.
I always check into the dinning maitre d' early if it is different than what my cruise card says.

Hi Everyone- I wanted to see what people were getting from their TA for booking with them. We booked a group of 8 for a Med cruise (13nights) through a TA and it seems like we are not getting a lot in return-so I wanted to check and see what others were getting.
Thanks
Every TA can be different, just keep checking.

I have also have had problems, they had a message that said "web sight " is down. Try later.

Is there anybody who has rented the tux or suit from Princess ? If so, how was the quality and fit ?
Many thanks
No need to rent. Just ask a rental store if they have a tux that they want to sell. Even new ones you can buy cheap.

We usually bring bottled water on board (at least that's what we did on all our Carnival Cruises), but will have the drink package on our first Princess Cruise this September (so may not need to carry water on board).
I know water should be water, but some bottled water I like, and some I don't. Just wondered if by any chance the brand on board is Dasani (my preferred brand).
Not sure, you can BYOB if you like.

I like both, if I was to pick, something a little more quiet, it would be Alaska
-
I do it's quiet a ways from the port, also you need to consider is the traffic.

You will never know, what side will be the best. You could always use the crow's nest, anytime.

I agree, hope your question was answerd.

Is the Chef's Table offered several nights for a 5 day cruise or just once ? Chef's choice ? Is booking done onboard ? Chances of getting a reservation ?
You should not have trouble, book it on board.

I know I have seen shuffleboard on other Princess ships but don't know if the Emerald has one or not.....can anyone tell me if they know for sure if there is one?
Post # 3 looks good to me, love the game also. Have fun.:)
Is it correct that if you are offered an Upgrade you do not necessarily have to take that particular Stateroom but can request any that is available in that category?
Always ask, never hearts to ask. -
Has been a couple of years since I have been on Princess.
1. Do they still supple bathrobes if you ask.
2. The last time I was on my coffee card could be used to get hot chocolate and they didn't punch it. Is this still true?
Yes on bathrobes.
Hot chocolate, is free

I know that this has been asked, answered and cursed at many times, but I couldn't easily find the answer. Under the new Princess wine policy, how and when do they assess the $15 corkage fee? It used to be that they charged you, when they did, at the time you brought the bottle into the MDR. I've heard that now you get two bottles "free" (of corkage fees) but they must be consumed in your room. I'd really like a detailed answer from someone who's actually done this, not hearsay and I don't need to know about bringing wine in from ports we visit. Only wine brought on at the time of embarkation. thanx steve[/QUOT
Only 1 bottle P.P, or two to a cabin. when corking it yourself there will be no charge. I have never been charged.

Don't shake hands, wash your hands often, & wash good & long, use your elbow, use a fork and knife when eating, not your hands.
-
Post on your P&O board and ask questions, also do some checking yourself.

1st cruise this december, heading to the panama canal with princess! i know there are sometimes a lot of rules about what you can take off the ship and bring back.
are you able to bring sand from the beach back onto the ship?
the ports we'd be likely to bring back sand from are aruba, costa rica and jamaica.
thanks!
I did't ask questions, just did it, dirt would be a different thing.
-
I have seen ones doing their wedding planning and just bring jeans. Educate ones to use the internet and Google what to bring.

Call your TA, If they are good they will get what you want. No down grade.

I can't seem to find the answer to this question: how long does the cruise ship remain in each port, approximately?
I realize that the answer depends on which cruise line, and which ports. I am looking for a general answer for the southern Caribbean. I believe that most ships dock early in the AM, and they cannot stay in port overnight. But how long, on average, do they stay in the various ports? For example, do you have time to have a dinner meal, or go to an evening event while the ship is in the port? Or are they trying to hurry to get folks back on the ships?
My only experience was with the Western Caribbean cruises, and they tended to leave around 5 or 6 pm. I am thinking about the idea of taking shore excursions, and the risks of missing the ship's departure. But if they leave later in the night, this might not really be a problem.
Thanks,
sandy
Easy before booking look at each schedule they are offering. They will give the times they will dock and leave.

Getting ready to book my first cruise. Is it better to go through a travel agent or just book myself after research?
Welcome to CC.
I do my home work, check both the cruise company, or do it yourself. At times they will be the same in price. It is the service you want.
