Thankyou for a wonderful detailed review. Glad I found it through my email that Celebrity was starting up cruising again last week.
Not sure why everyone is worried about the dining room...everyone has been tested and has had both shots of the vaccine which is awesome. I love that you don't have to wear a mask on board either...what's the point of the vaccine if we can't live a little bit of normal.
Can't wait until cruising starts up down under and if we do it this way, I'll be very happy with that.
Looking forward to the rest of your review :)

It's been a few years since we last cruise PoA and things have relaxed a fair bit here with dining room dress code and I'm trying to remember if it's as relaxed on PoA...long pants for guys or are cargo 3/4 pants ok apart from formal nights?
Thanks
Kerri

We were there just over a week ago and were never asked to show our docs for travel insurance.

if there's a threat the Captain will take you elsewhere...he will not sail into a cyclone

Look at St. Kilda Esplanade..The Novotel...great location and very reasonable and then get an Uber.

We were disappointed with the entertainment this time on Ovation...Pulse had nothing on RtheB, the Pub guy was boring and the piano man was more classical when we went past...they had 2 on the piano but don't know what the 2nd guy was like. The INXS tribute band was just fantastic. The dance floor in the Music Hall was near empty most of the time Pulse played. We just found there was very little interaction with the passengers....you want people on the dance floor then you have to show more enthusiasm. Wish they would bring back Rock The Boat...

Anyone out there recently been on the Divina cruising around the Med with thoughts, view points and maybe some photos...

Thanks everyone...since I'm spelling it correct now, I come across some great photos and reviews...we head over to Rome in 2 weeks and am so looking forward to experiencing what looks to be a beautiful ship :D
-
Hi Ken, thanks for that, I didn't even realise the incorrect spelling...will give that a go :)

I can't seem to find a lot on the MSC Divinia...the professional photos look amazing...are they are real indicator of the cruise ship? Kerri

A great review and fabulous photos, thoroughly enjoyed the whole lot, thanks for sharing it so comprehensively...Kerri (us Aussies are a very friendly bunch ;p)

Thanks everyone, that's answered my question. Have done many cruises and have never encountered that before..SeaSuset22 that's some great information regarding making sure you get on the correct bus going back...you tend to always take it for granted that the bus you're getting back on is the correct one..but obviously not always.

I emailed my Status match last Monday and got an email on Friday confirming Status update...very happy :D:D

I believe it means that the tour is not available for people boarding or disembarking in Genoa. Therefore it would be available for you "in transit" to Rome.
Its to do with the license of the tour operator associated with certain ports.
That's a relief, thanks so much for your reply :D
-
Ok not come across this before so after some understanding....Looking at booking a Portifino tour in Geneo but have just seen that it's only available to those 'in transit' in Genoa...we get off at the next port...Rome.

Heading to Palermo, Cagliari, Mallorca, Valencia, Marseilles and Geno in July. Are there many local tour operators, as you get off the ship, at each port offering trips? Thanks.
:D Kerri

Thanks for your information...has also helped me a lot. Do you buy chance know what money the slots took...US$ or Euro? Thanks. Kerri
-
Do the slots take US$$ on the Msc Divinia...we’re cruising the Med in 4 weeks. Thanks. Kerri

Can someone explain what matching the status is? I have just booked our first MSC cruise but have many with Carnival, RCCL, NCL, hence all good status's...Platinum, Diamond etc. Thanks for your help. Kerri

We were on the EoS just over a week ago and I don't recall a BBQ out on deck which I was surprised at.

We are on the Jade in 26 days and so excited. Have loved following your photos, thanks so much for them. How's the Cavern looking, haven't seen any photos yet of how similar to the Liverpool one it is.

Send it to the Australian email contacts for them to process.

Well we have finally biten the bullet and bought 100 Carnival Shares. We cruise on the QV in July and I'm trying to fax through a letter with the confirmation and I'm obviously not keying in the correct numbers....then I realised not sure where to send it! We're cruising from Venice so then thought maybe need to fax it to the UK office but their number is no longer connected..
Has anybody got any suggestions on where to send it? thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry not sure if it's been noted in earlier posts...there's a guy that was on the ship at the time of all this and he has explained what everyone one had to do and how professional it all was...worth reading if you haven't..puts a lot of doubt at ease...I personally can't wait until we cruise again down under...hopefully we will have the same protocols here too. Also the post was from Seany...
