  1. We had MTD on deck 3 this cruise, and it was a mess. The tables were so tight together, that people could not get through. Our son is in a wheelchair and we stopped going into the dining room after night two, because we had to keep asking people to get up and move so we could get out. That is very embarrassing to my son, so I complained as did many others, and they finally moved tables out to make more room. Our server said that they might be changing MTD to another deck after our sailing, so you might get lucky and get deck 3 back? who knows.

I am so sorry this happened to your son! We had such a good experience with MTD on Navigator that we were planning to do it again on Liberty. The table next to us had a young adult in a wheelchair and had a completely different experience than yours. Again, so sorry that your family experienced that!

  2. We did get an invitation for the bridge/galley/ stage tour but I'm pretty sure that was for being diamond plus. My BIL did not receive one and they are diamond. We don't normally go to these anymore unless the ship is new or different to us.

Was this offered as one tour or 3 separate tours at different times? The one on Jewel, for being in a suite, were all separate and very nice. The one on Navigator, for being in a suite, was only bridge and extremely rushed. Disappointing for sure.

  3. What was missing was the nice Suites Luncheon that we had on Navigator and Liberty had before the drydock. There was none.

Oh ok. We weren't able to make that. On Jewel we were offered 3 free tours (bridge, kitchen and stage). On Navigator we were only offered 1 (bridge) and it was super quick and a bit disappointing in comparison. On Jewel we received treats in the room most days and on Navigator only twice, one of those being the first day. We enjoyed both of our cruises a lot but we received more on Jewel for being in a suite, so that part, for me, was a little disappointing.

  4. Thanks for your reports. I can't believe you got such few suite perks. I hope you will write Miami. They need to know.

Hmm, we didn't receive any more when we were in a suite in August on Navigator. We received less than we did on Jewel in a suite. I wonder why things aren't consistent.

  5. Galveston cruises have dining times of 5:30 and 8 pm. We always do 2nd seating and it's funny how just that half hour makes a difference for us. Not crazy about 8:30. I know 5:30 is way early though - sorry guys.

We did MTD which worked great for us on Navigator.

  6.

Really surprised diamond plus can use suite lounge, some of the suite people do not have access to diamond lounge, not a major issue for us, since we are diamond and also will have drink package.

I wondered because while I am in a suite and am not even diamond I only have access to the suite lounge. Diamond Plus can go in either lounge as well as get 3 drinks on their cards. If it is as crowded as stated we will really be out of luck only being a suite guest. :/

  7. you may get the email ahead of time that outlines everything the ship offers. if not there should be a piece of paper in the cabin on embarkation day.

NAV did NOT provide the usual fruit basket, which is what I had on every other GS. ( nor did LIB) Chops breakfast was a big plus. we never asked about a bridge tour. Ricardo was our Concierge and he did reach out ahead of time but after his heart attack he was moved to Jewell I believe.

We did receive the fruit basket the first day on Navigator at the end of August. Otherwise we received a cheese plate and that was it besides a bottle of water when we first went in the room. I was disappointed because we received quite a bit more on Jewel. We had Nadja on Navigator and liked her a lot. She did contact us about a bridge tour, which was free, and did go on that. She also did contact us about 5 days before our cruise.

  8. The one place I really saw a difference with the gold card was at Mytime dining on Navigator. I don't know if that was typical but it was unexpected to us. As an aside, I like seeing Pinnacles wear their pins. The ones I have met have been very friendly. I know I will never be Pinnacle and I appreciate the knowledge they bring onboard and it is nice that it is easy to see who they are.

  9. Thanks for the info. Looking forward to the 11/13 cruise. If you get a chance, could you ask Carlos how many D+ and PC members they are expecting next cruise? Love your detailed reports.

Empress of Purple and Cruisjn Nana, do either of you plan on being August 21 Liberty cruise? You both post such great information. Think you! I haven't seen a roll call for that cruise yet.

  10. Today I heard 34 Pinnacles are onboard.

As for how they're handling overflow with so many high tier C&A members onboard, as I said they're not giving out crystal blocks at the high tier welcome back party, they're just being delivered to the room...

... Happy Hour for Diamonds is in the Sphinx...

... Diamond Plus and Pinnacles in the Viking Crown Lounge...

... Suites only in the Concierge Lounge...

    .)

Wait, pinnacles can't go in the concierge lounge? I enjoyed Pinnacles (and Diamond Plus too) being in the suite lounge on my last cruise out of Galveston. They were a friendly group with a lot of knowledge.

  11. We had an absolutely wonderful cruise in August but my hubby wrote all about how disappointed he was in the desserts on the survey after the cruise. He gave everything high marks and wrote praise for great employees but it was very important to him that they hear how very disappointed he was in the desserts. My daughter and I did not find good desserts either except I liked the chocolate chip cookies and she liked the coconut ranger cookies. I hope you have better luck!

  12. Yes, Ricardo was in Concierge and Nadia in Diamond. Both waiting to hear if either one might get to go to the Liberty when it comes to Galveston

Did you mean Nadia or Nadja? Nadja was our concierge for suites at the end of August on Navigator. She said she had put in to stay with Liberty. I wonder when they will hear since it is getting close now.

  13. That is what I have also been told. They now will give you a priority luggage tag, but not take you to the front. Most people know that when they start calling one luggage they are ready with others numbers and depart the ship. I was told that only suite and pinnacle gets the priority departure now.

On Navigator in August we had priority luggage tag for being in a suite. As soon as the porter saw our priority tag he took us to the front of the line in front of the other porters and told them we had priority tags. There wasn't any problem with it.
