  1. How do you attach the medallions to phone backs?
  2. As others have said, there are four Reserves at the front corners of the ship on Royal Class, they're a category M6, and they're wonderful. Nice, spacious cabins with good separation of the bedroom from the other area. The decks of all of them are very large, and the ones on Marina deck are huge. They're over the bridge, which gives you a great view. Since they're high up in the ship and far forward, you might get more motion there. We haven't so far, but that certainly could happen. One thing that many people really dislike that doesn't both us is the fact that the deck railing is solid steel, rather than plexiglass.
  3. It's mostly working most of the time for me. It's stopped telling me that I'm not old enough to look at internet plans, but it took about six login attempts. I was logging in with username/password and just got stubborn about it. Info stayed put in the form, so I just kept poinking the button until it gave up and let me in.I'm on Adnfroid, and it's stil version 1.0.0.
  4. I'm 73 and got that the other day! Pretty funny.
  5. It can for sure. Correctly managed scripts will strip these off when the form is submitted, along with the more uncommon leading spaces.
  6. I'll start off by saying that I like Princess. A lot. And the waitstaff and cabin stewards we've had have been great. I know most people here won't agree with this, but nearly all the customer service and such like people that we've come into contact with over the years have been simply chock full of attitude. We're not really high maintenance people, so there haven't been that many, but I can recall some instances that were real dillies on how not to do customer service. I'm sorry that anybody is getting such poor assistance on the app.
  7. That's an interesting thing to wonder. Hadn't occurred to me. I used to use those things all the time for building and managing commerce systems. Still remember the one for Visa.
  8. Maybe we don't have definitive info on that, but the fact that it's (at least right now) is a required item to get green lane, it says that we're agreeing to the third party storing the info, and that it asks for full credit card info tells me that the 3rd party company will have that data. Who can tell? I don't actually have a dog in this fight anymore. Even though I think it's really unlikely that being in the blue lane would slow us down at all since we'll have our medallions, I've followed Thrak's excellent example and filled in that form with a virtual number that I can limit transactions on.
  9. Yes, I think that's the case. But what people, myself included, are objecting to is agreeing to have the third party, foreign company store our credit cards.
  10. I haven't sailed in one of those cabins, and actually we've never sailed on the Sapphire. But I've looked at cruises on that ship, and those cabins have always been on my list of ones to choose. I love forward cabins and have enjoyed the M6 cabins, such as M108, on Royal Class ships immensely. I can tell you that I would book one of those cabins you list without any hesitation.
  11. I've tried it, and it definitely doesn't work better for me. Other people have had similar or very different experiences.
  12. Your information doesn't "live" in the app. It's stored in a database and is called forth by the app and/or the web version. And personalizer as well. None of your information is stored in the app.
  13. Mine is. Same for all three - website, old app, new app.
  14. This is a new one on me. If you actually get two sets, you should probably bring both. Maybe you can wear them as earrings?
  15. We only had to use the Princess insurance once, for a non-covered reason. It worked exactly as it should. We got the credit to account quickly and applied that to another cruise.
  16. We had our medallions in advance for all of our cruises after the medallions became a thing. It seemed to me at the time and it still does that as long as you have your medallion that's all they care about for green lane.
  17. Last time I looked, he was green and I'm not. I ordered our medallions some time or other and am having them shipped. I fully plan to go in the green lane regardless. Can't see them kicking me out but I suppose they could. 😂
  18. Somebody is bound to point this out, so I'll do that myself. I didn't think this through very well. The fact that my internet package charges showed as Princess doesn't mean squat. The form data might very well have just been posted to Princess' payment gateway.
  19. I'm not so sure they do. When I book other things through the app, it shows as Princess on my charge card statement. I know this is true, since I booked internet twice through the app for two different trips. If it went through the third party, wouldn't the charge show up as going through the third party?
  20. The fuss is all about being forced to agree to storing the credit card with a third party. It should be optional. Since I never would use that facility, why should I be forced to set it up in order to get green lane?
  21. I hadn't actually looked at this section, since I'd already completed it in the old app. I never agreed to ashore purchases in the old app, but in the new one it showed as agreed to. I deleted my card from the ashore purchases section. It stayed in the other part of ship-side purchases. Fine. That put me in blue lane, but oddly my hubby is still in green. I do all the stuff for our cruises, so I'd set him up as an authorized purchaser. No card info shows up in his section, just the indication that he's added to my card. It'll be interesting to see if he stays in green.
  22. My bottom line thinking on authorizing our credit card for ashore purchases is this. We've all seen the multitude of posts here by people who got wrongly charged for purchases on the ship after the medallions came out. It happened to us once and needed the hateful trip to customer service to sort out (they were oddly reluctant to do so). Given that, why in the world would I shop with the medallion ashore, which might be even more annoying to get sorted out? Nope.
  23. I think it must be what somebody else said - something about the locations aren't loaded yet, and Crooner's is just a default.
