  1. I still cannot see anything for Eclipse beyond the November 2018 TA.

    Hi Sue,

Eclipse's Westbound TA on 12/3/18 departs from Spain to Buenos Aires.

After the TA, Eclipse is sailing mostly South America and 2 Antarctica sailings. In late March 2019 she sails to San Diego. Perhaps West Coast sailings in 2019 (?), but we have another year to wait and see what happens.

  2. Hi Everyone,

Looks like all of the 2018/2019 Caribbean are on the website now. I'm very surprised at the lack of 14 night sailings, only because they were extremely popular and always sold well. Looks like X is going after the 9-12 night market more aggressively. IMO, that's a good place to target, though I'm just not loving the new itineraries as much as the 14 night Eclipse currently offered.

Not that big of a deal for us, as we are mostly about the ship and the wonderful onboard Celebrity experience.... but others may feel differently. At this point, it seems we will be sailing on the 11 & 12 night Silhouette sailings in Winter 2018/2019, though it all depends if Edge will be coming to the Caribbean. If that happens, we will be sure to book.

  3. Hi Everyone,

Looks like the new 2018/2019 Caribbean itineraries are on the X website. Here's a few initial observations :

Equinox staying in Miami - looks to be offering Summer Caribbean again in 2018. In Winter season, mostly 7 night sailings, but a few longer sailings too.

Infinity is sailing 4 & 5 night sailings (Yes - they are back) from Ft Lauderdale.

Silhouette looks to be on a 12 night and 9 night rotation from Ft Lauderdale - at least through the end of 2018.

Reflection - Mostly 10/11 night from Ft Lauderdale. A couple of 7 night sailings around the holidays.

    Summit - a Mix of 7, 10, 11 & 12 night sailings from San Juan.

Interesting that Eclipse will be doing South America instead of Infinity. Looks like there wont be many (if any) 14 night sailings - but 12 nights on Silhouette will be perfectly fine for us.

Very little Caribbean posted for 2019 so far, but I'm sure it's coming.

  4. Hi Lois,

Glad to see that you are considering Celebrity again. We had a great time on Eclipse a few weeks ago, and I highly recommend the ship and itinerary - but I'm pretty sure that 14 days is too long for you.

If not Eclipse, I highly recommend Equinox 10 night. Great ship - great itinerary. Please let me know what ship/date you choose, as we have several Equinox sailings booked in 2017.

All my best Lois, and I hope we'll sail together again in 2017. Happy Holidays and New Year !

  6. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your Mom as well as my Cruise Critic friends. Enjoy your cruise and hope to see you soon.

    Hi Orator,

When you are in town, please let me know. Hope to see you soon. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family !

  7. Hi Everyone,

Hello From Celebrity Eclipse. We're having a very nice cruise. I plan to post some thoughts when I return home in a few days.

I wanted to wish You and Your loved ones, and everyone at Celebrity, a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'd also like to say a very special thank you to Host Walt & Host Anne for everything they do for us.

I'm missing everyone on the forum very much, and I promise to post more often, as soon as things settle down.

  8. Hi Everyone,

I'm on Eclipse now, and it sounds like all itineraries are being released at the same time, at least for US guests. Frankly, based on how things operated in past years... it's hard to imagine - but it looks like it's at least a possibility.

They are offering guests on our sailing the option to purchase a 2018/2019 future cruise certificate for $200, but you only have until 12/30 to make the booking after you return home. It's similar to the past certificates, but you get 2 perks plus $50-500 OBC depending on length of sailing and type of cabin booked. This way, you can book 2018/19 from home, and still get a good deal. Very smart move by Celebrity.

I will try to find out more tomorrow. Hope this helps. Happy Thanksgiving !

  9. Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to advise that Mom & I are fine. Tons of brief power outages last night, but power was quickly restored. From all accounts, Hurricane Matthew made a last minute turn to the East, which made ALL the difference for us.

Our thoughts and prayers remain for those to the North of us, who remain in the path. Please keep us posted.

My sincere thanks to everyone for your concern.

  10. Hi Everyone,

  11. Hi Andy, Mike, Charles,.......Matthew is supposed to come all the way

up here too:eek:......boy, he looks like one massive storm:eek:......

    Stay safe everyone.

    Hi Lois,

Please stay safe. If you have power, please email me, and let me know how you are doing. I think we'll have power until tomorrow afternoon. After that, it's anyone's guess. All my best to you !

  12. Stay safe, Andy and please do let us know how things are once Matthew has passed.

    BTW, we miss you!

    Garry

Thank You Garry. I miss everyone on this forum very much. After the storm passes and life returns to normal, I will try and visit more often.

  13. Andy

Glad you will be with your mom. Stay safe.

Sal's mom will go to his sister's home in Pembroke Pines.. don't want her to be alone with possible power loss, candles etc.

Thank You Hcat. Wishing your Florida family all the very best.

  14. Andy, you and your dear mom stay safe. Here's hoping that you don't have any more flood damage, this year!

Thank You wwcruisers. Would you believe the contractors called me on Monday, and told me my home should be ready for occupancy in 2 weeks ! Can't imagine there may be new damage, and set the whole thing back <sigh> At any rate, I'm only concerned about our safety, and things like being without power for an extended time. During Hurricane Wilma, we did not have power for 2 weeks. I'm hoping technology will be much improved, this time around.

Mom is 91, and I worry terribly about her. Things like damage ? We can deal with after the storm passes.

  15. Andy, please take care and be safe.

Thank You CruisingChick. We're all praying for a turn to the East - which should help minimize the damage, and hopefully keep many out of harms way. Unfortunately, the weather services do not seem very optimistic on that outcome... but I think they are (rightfully) opting to be overly cautious.

  16. Take care Andy. I've been following the reports quite closely. My insurance company has already made contact telling us who to call. Received a call from FPL earlier today. My Rotary Club has established a call network so we can keep members informed and offer help if needed. My biggest concern is possible damage from my neighbor's house. She has many loose roof tiles and has refused to have them replaced. Have submitted pictures to. our HOA to establish a record if it is needed. I would echo Andy's sentiment that things can be replaced. Be safe!

Thanks very much Orator. Hope all is well with you and your DW, and we'll see you again, on a future cruise.

  17. Yes, Pam. Quest is in Boston today and tomorrow. Then continues down the coast. Maybe Matthew will turn out to sea before Quest is due in Norfolk on the 13th.

There's a couple of wild projections out there, that the storm might hit FL, go up the coast a bit... then turn around and hit FL a 2nd time.

Hoping somehow, that all will be ok. All we can do right now, is wait and worry.

  18. Andy, It isn't looking real good for either of us right now. How close to the beach are you? We are 7 miles in.

    Hi Mike,

I'm about as close to the Ocean as you can get. It's wonderful 99% of the time. Today ? Not so much !

I'm hearing my home area will be evacuated. I'm staying at my Mom's place, about 10 miles inland. We're about as prepared as can be, but I'm not sure if even that's good enough.

Let's hope for a turn to the East. All my best to you.
