  1. Hi guys/girls, I am reaching out to the valuable members of cc because who would know more than you 🤗 We are booked on NCL Sky on 4/8/23 for a 9 day cruise and have a stop scheduled at St Thomas on 4/14 according to NCL. However after some OCD planning (how many ships are at port for each port) we realized that for St Thomas the Sky doesn’t seem to show a stop there on our date. Well not on any date for April to be more accurate. It though shows stops for other NCL ships. I am looking at the official ”virgin islands now” webpage. As much as I try to find our ship in St Thomas I cannot find it for any day in April…and that makes me edgy and thinking if there is some change coming that we just don’t know yet. I’d be more than grateful for thoughts or guesses of what this could mean. Our sailing seems to have a peculiar itinerary in any case as it is different from it’s usual 9 day route. Might be because of Easter. For most sites where you can check ”how many ships at port” or book shore excursions our sailing shows the usual itinerary for our sailing, not this special one. So those sites do not help either but make us more confused. Cannot ask this question from fellow cruisers from the roll call because there is not one yet for this cruise even though it is an Easter one 😶 Granted the itinerary doesn’t seem so optimal just now so we wouldn’t mind a change but would like to know. Seems a lot of immigration hastle is coming our way if the itinerary stays like this with the ship sailing from Miami to a foreign port, then coming to San Juan, then foreign ports before St Thomas, then foreign port, then Miami 😶 Thanks for all thoughts and educated guesses or information already in advance 🙏☺️
  2. This. You are way too early with the shore excursions 😊 Cruise lines usually make contracts with tour operators for one season at a time and for Europe I’d expect that season to be approx late April/early May - October. It will take until January-February until they have signed the summer contracts with the tour operators for summer 2023 season. You’ll get a good overview of what type of excursions are most likely to be available if you check via the NCL public webpages (shore excursions). They are just currently working on the details of the contracts and once those are signed the shore excursions are downloaded to myncl for booking.
  3. Thanks for confirming Keith. We'll start to google the remaining non CA red wine bottles (hubby refuses to drink CA wine) to see how they are.
  4. I see it in my confirmation 😁 The reason behind it is - apparently - if you had previously (like EU Wiesbaden reservations had) only one wifi included originally then the free at sea + also gives only one unlimited wifi. See below my confirmation:
  5. Yes I was just about to come and write that too. It specifically says: "Includes fountain soda, freshly squeezed juice, bottled water (flat and sparkling), energy drinks, non-alcoholic beer, and Starbucks® coffee." What is sad to notice is that they have removed the Chateauneuf-du-Pape away from the bottles list. The bottles list doesn't really have almost any French white or red wines left. Oh well, Chateauneuf-du-Pape is available by the glass...guess we'll order quite many glasses of those then 😁 Do I also remember correctly that Veuve was availabe by the bottle for dinner - now it is available only by the glass.
  6. I guess it could be due to loyalty status discounts? Discounts on Shore Excursions10% for Silver - Platinum, 15% for Platinum Plus, 20% for Ambassador
  7. We are cruising on the Sky (9 day Caribbean) in a suite and know the butler can bring us dinner from any of the speciality restaurants. We last cruised pre-covid and I do remember we were able to use the SDP for that. One dinner was just used from the SPD package as if we’d been eating at the restaurant. But this time we would like to use a diamond voucher for the dinner that the butler would bring us to our suite. Would anyone know if that is possible and easy to arrange? The reason for using one of the platinum vouchers this way is that the meals are more restricted with the voucher with only one appetizer, main course and dessert whereas with the SPD you can have multiple appetizers (and desserts). Eating in our suite we are more than happy to just have the one app, main and dessert but eating in a restaurant we would want to have a bit more (like app, soup or salad, main and dessert..or two 😁). So would it work that when we arrange with our butler that he brings us dinner to our suite that we tell him that we want to use the diamond voucher for this dinner. Or are we only set for some confusion… We have the premium plus or whatever it is called drink package and plan to grab a couple of bottles of wine the previous evenings to our suite so that we have already our drinks covered. The butler would only need to bring the food.
  8. No the two extra meals are for passenger 1-2 so they cannot be given to passenger 3. If passengers 1-2 had 2 speciality restaurant meals per person previously with Free at Sea Plus they will both have 4 speciality restaurant meals included. Also for Wi-Fi: for US customers it seems free Wi-Fi is for passengers 1-2. For EU customers free Wi-Fi is for passenger 1 only.
  9. That’s great news because I was already wondering what on earth to do with the excursion credit at that port! Went to check it immediately and the only thing which seems strange is that the duration is 1hrs. And the ”excursion” starts at 7:01. Oh well, must be some computer thing again…I’d assume the clamshell is yours for the duration of the day. Would anyone know how the clamshells are distributed during the day? First come first serve, whoever comes first decides on the location of their clamshell? As we are a family of four we need two of those clamshells and obviously it would be nice if they’d be next to each other 😊
