Perhaps Carnival should try smoking and completely non smoking ships. They have enough ships:D

From what I hear from forum friends, the only problem with adult cruises is that everything goes quiet soon after 10pm, which is why many prefer family ships. I've never heard that heavy drinkers were a problem.
We're hoping to do our first adult only cruise on the Marco Polo this summer, so I'll keep an eye open....;)
If it is true what they say about that ship there are many more problems than a screaming baby:eek:

Thank you. Really enjoy all your posts and excellent photos:)
3 weeks tomorrow and we shall be boarding Liberty.

Chair hogs turn other rational people into chair hogs. On Princess we couldn't get a lounger all week except so high up it blew the ice cream out of my cone:) many got the crew to carry loungers from other decks to the pool area. This resulted in being almost impossible to get through for a dip in the pool. Total shambles. On our last day which was a sea day we had an early breakfast, found a nice sheltered spot away from the wind and the loudspeakers and stuck with them all day:D
It is ok to say remove items from loungers but I am on holiday, I don't want to be confrontational, I am supposed to be relaxing. I don't want some irate guy threatening me.

Before insurance pays out they will consider if enough time was allowed to reach initial destination, be it an airport or cruise port.

Many couples now sit and ignore it and seem to look around as if it is something to be proud of to have a screaming baby/ toddler. Something to be said for adult only ships.

It is a no no. Not a matter of baggage, anything can happen. 110 flights cancelled today because of fog at Heathrow, not to mention delays. Then there are occasional security delays. If we are cruising from Florida we always fly in the day before, in fact two days gives me more peace of mind.
-
Nevertheless I have seen many people sat in bars and just pick up their drink and enter the restaurant

I have never found the lines too crowded but haven't been on Carnival for years. Does it depend what time you get back on the ship when in port? I think we may just have room service and use the time to freshen up. Do they not serve cakes etc. In the afternoon?

Does having lupus affect travel insurance?

Whatever, anything is better than nothing, seen people in the bathrooms not even washing their hands:mad:

I am glad we have had a lot of cruises. The good and the not so good:)
-
We have done both. After arriving back to the ship with only 5 mins to spare after a hair raising ride (independent tour) we decided not to risk it anymore. Don't do many tours now as have seen all the Caribbean Islands. Most are pretty much the same and we are fed up of obligatory stops Where something is being sold and not very much to see

We dress up but don't do the photos, hate them, they look so false.

We cruised on Princess Emerald. Our worse cruise in 12 years.
-
We only did cruises for years but last 4 years we have taken more land based holidays. Pro's and cons to both.

Some hotels hire day rooms, leave the luggage, have a shower or sleep. Ideal for someone in their eighties.

A martini is not made with grapes. It is usually a gin or vodka drink.
Not necessary to roll your eyes. Actually Martini is a fortified wine, often drunk on the rocks in Europe....I wasn't referring to a cocktail, just a bottle of Martini Rossi or bianco.

I don't understand the fascination with Lobster. It's ok. But.....

Really look forward to see if you have posted more photos, thanks. We missed seeing the fort last time and would like to visit this time, worried the climb might be too much for us as we are getting on a bit:D

Husband likes to wear his tuxedo. We don't mind what other people do I just wish some would give the same courtesy and not imply we are the odd ones out. Transatlantic crossings do tend to be more formal, especially on Cunard and P&O although we did see someone on Queen Mary in a leather jacket and Tshirt:)
For some a cruise may be a one off special occasion and they welcome the opportunity to dress up.
-
Does anyone know if Martini is classed as wine?
-
I think it is the heat and probably being on your feet more than usual.

It is difficult. Just a few spoil it and it turns other people into chair hogs. On Princess many were leaving towels, books etc. Before going off for an excursion when in port. I don't know what the answer is but there should be vigilant crew to work out some policy.

Agree. We are all targets. Although I do think the cruise ships are sensible in making decisions.
