We spent a lot of time in Serinity on Liberty, never had a problem finding loungers even on sea day. Although it could have been there were a lot of families with children who couldn't go there.

Yup, as I suspected, you guys know something I don't!
We were really only looking for booze, and even most of that was cheaper back home.
We found the same in San Juan. Thought of buying wine for our hotel room. $12 for a bottle of plonk that costs about $7 in the UK. Found St Kitts was the cheapest.

One of the smaller ships that goes to the lesser known Caribbean Islands. Also one around Australia New Zealand.

We chose our last Carnival cruise because it was a good price for a suite and the itinerary. Not loyal to any although prefer HAL. Would certainly choose Carnival over Princess and RCL. Whichever you go on they are all pretty much the same. Don't care if one line has longer buffet hours or better pizza etc. As I am not a big eater.
we tend to take more land based holidays now.

We like the week after Labor Day, over Halloween or the week after Thanksgiving. Our last few cruises have had very few kids!
We have just sailed on Liberty the week after Thanksgiving. We usually find there aren't many children. However, it was full of kids, unruly ones. They dominated the hot tubs, jumping in and out and most seem to be left to run riot to do as they pleased! The positive is the Serenity area which is adult only:)
Generally the longer more expensive cruises have less children.

Still waiting for confirmation that this is really what people claim that it is, I'm not convinced. I don't think the video shows blood at all, but what it shows is hydraulic fluid. Blood doesn't flow like is shown in the video nor does a person bleed that much, even if a limb is cut off.
I thought the same. Now on the UK news websites.

Wows is correct. Don't do it. Claimed their ships are really rocky in heavy seas.

I must be completely missing out- we've had a few suites with Carnival and we were never taken to a special area with refreshments and escorts. I must be picking the wrong terminals to cruise from.
Have only been with Carnival twice. The first time on Valor from Miami and this time from Puerto Rico. Both had a room with refreshments and fast check in.

Suite passengers are taken to a small office where there are sofas, fruit drinks, coffees and cookies. We were checked in in minutes and escorted to a separate security area. Can't see how it would work if lots of non suites tagged along.
Not many perks unlike HAL etc. But the rooms are good with lots of storage and a separate dressing area.

I personally wouldn't touch anything run by Thomson. They have awful reviews.
-
Pleased to see not many of you are fooled by DI. A lot are, saw lots of bags with their name on when getting back on ship.

We usually eat a late dinner...so we don't eat again until breakfast!!!
We are the same usually finish by 9.15pm. Have room service croissant early and then eat breakfast later.
Some should think of their health. A couple of weeks pigging out doesn't do harm but so many on our last cruise were clinically obese.

Generally you get what you pay for. HAL is our favourite but not always keen on the itineraries. Loved Cunard Queen Mary but the restaurant service was bad and the food mediocre. Silver sea was great but expensive. Princess was a let down, overcrowded with huge lines everywhere. Carnival has the best cabins, food is good too but the passengers can be a challenge! RCL is ok. But hate their giant ships.

Set dining for us. The Waters anticipate your likes and dislikes, more attentive too. Our three this time were outstanding, made our cruise.
Breakfast which is like anytime was a bit hit and miss. Some long waits, missing items and at times impossible to get a coffee refill.
-
Works better on Princess, Cunard etc. Where there is a separate salad area.
-
I don't mind what people wear providing they don't feel the need to comment when I dress up!

Still love the Caribbean but don't do excursions anymore. They are all the same ole. Waterfall, monkeys, rum outlets, views with souvenir stalls. Usually have a stroll round and go to a nice beach.
The ships could just sail around an Island all week, change the flags every day and most wouldn't notice the difference;):)

I care! Especially when it is a family of five. Wish people were as tolerant when I forgot peas, I was treat as if I had committed a real faux pas:D
We only ate twice in the buffet this time. First lunch and one breakfast, enough for me. Lots of kids poking at it too.
-
Unpack:D

I bought some Carribean flowers perfumed candles. All packed tightly in a box, they were confiscated and wasn't even allowed to collect them at the end of the cruise:(
-
Most made an effort on our Liberty cruise although a lot were Puerto Rican. Lots embarking had suit bags.
Perhaps it would be ideal if they had one dining room specially for formal wear and another for those who object to dressing up.
-
I found Carnival food quite good, not as good as HAL but then you get what you pay for. Deserts were a bit of a disappointment but there is always the scrumptious chocolate melting cake:) Exceptional was the warm bread basket, some good sea food too.

We rarely eat burgers but Guys were good. Probably the best I have tasted (although I am English;)) sides like sautéed mushrooms were tasty too. The long lines demonstrate their popularity.
Koningsdam or Celebrity Summit? Puerto Rico or Fort Lauderdale?

Cruised from Puerto Rico in November. Great itinerary. The cruise is very geared towards Hispanics, if you don't mind that it's ok. Personally I would go with HAL from FLL.:)
