I was just reading a thread about Lunch in Portifinos. Some people thought that on some ships, lunch is offered for $10.00 per person and some people said it was a pasta demo.
Does anyone on this thread know if either one is offered on the Explorer? Do you know what the menu is? Any info would be great.
Thanks,
Loralie
Lunch in Portifinos on the Explorer is for Suite guest.

If you have selected MTD, which dining area will you be assigned? The dining rooms seem huge, but it seems some will be set aside for traditional dining. Where are the MTDers seated?
Or, are we intermingled??
Most of the time they will seat you on deck 5

I know this was posted a while back' date=' but I read on here that at the end of 2012, Explorer is moving south. Is this confirmed and ifso, where and what ship is moving to Bayonne? Thanks for the help and apologies for not remembering the answer to these questions from earlier.[/quote']
The Explorer will be here until April 2013. What happens after April no one knows at this time.

We are going to book Explorer Jan 27 cruise. It will be 3 years since our last cruise on her. What new changes can we expect? We became Diamond members a year ago for our Celebrity cruise. What perks can we expect? Any new changes at the pier?
Book now they have great price for D-1-2-3 E-1 balcony. There is a roll call come join
The pier is the same, the ship is the same with some cosmetic changes. The staff is the best.
Were you on the Jan. 2009 cruise?

I am just browsing your thread to get some info on EOS. We usually sail out of Baltimore on Enchantment (which we love). Exploring the possibilities of NJ. Does RCCL provide a bus or shuttle from DC area to the Port? Looks like EOS will go into dry dock either 2013 or 2014. Your thread is great with a lot of info.
Try this, they leave from Baltimore $100 R/T

She is used to driving a scooter in stores like Target and Costco. She used a scooter in Disney World. I guess she will have to get used to it on the ship.
I have heard that some of the rooms need updating since the ship is over 10 years old. Did you feel that way about 7304? do you have any pics? Were there stains on the carpet or couch? My DH and I are not picky and we will have a good time no matter what, my MIL is very picky and usually finds something to complain about . Any info on her room would help. When did you stay in 7304?
Thanks,
Loralie
Hi, we were in 7304 last Feb.The cabin was clean, flat screen TV, no major stains could use some freshening, the railing needed to be stained as did most of them on deck 7.
Have fun.

I ran across a picture of the Explorer of the Seas cover in snow in NJ, but cannot find it on this boards. If anyone remembers where it is, or can re post it I would appreciate it. I was telling my DH about the pic and searched but cannot find it again, we are hoping that we won't see it that way when we sail in January 2012. Thanks for you help, Terri
The picture you are looking for was on the old Everything Explorer thread.
