BILL-WI...Once again another great job with your cruise video. Thanks for taking us along. (y)
Thanks for watching...
"Good morning!" Another fantastic and fun video Bill. Many thanks!+++ Love the pix and the amusing and insightful commentary. Please thank Rosie for us too.We are booked on Equinox on 1106, which is right near your cabin. Do you think 1106 has a bigger balcony as well?
Thanks for watching. Yes 1106 will have a larger balcony.
Great video, we will be on the Jazz Festaval cruise on April 24th & also staying 2 nights in N.O. my question is while in N.O. how did you get back to the ship?? Cab, walk?? Is it safe?george35
We walked back to the ship right down Julia Street and never felt in any danger. :):):)

There was an oil spill that day at Port Everglades, at dock 18, and Equinox could not use that dock. I am sure as they left deck 25, they had to use a different route to get out of the port. No big deal...

From February 20 - March 3, 2017 my DW, Rosie, and I took a cruise vacation on Celebrity Equinox. The trip included a 2 night stop in New Orleans for Mardi Gras!
I made a short (15 min) video of the whole trip. Hope you enjoy watching, almost as much, as we enjoyed taking the trip.:):):)

the top deck because your cabin will have a partially covered balcony....:):)

Hey Bill, how are all the Maniacs? Was with you in Jan 2010 on the Serenade. Everybody always looked for your aft cabin when docked. Love all your video reviews. Stay well. Good sailing. Enjoy the Equinox as well.
John and Jen
Everyone is well, but I am not sure if you ever met Joyce and Jerry...unfortunately, Jerry has passed on.

There are a few I made working on martini. There were 2 on silhouette working the baltics this summer and one on Equinox. I made means 2nd son. Where I Putu means first born. I have them on my Facebook and both of the guys from silhouette are on vacation, one went today along with Sreejesh and the other a couple of months ago. However supriana I Putu from Equinox boarded silhouette today after his vacation and he's amazing

Is there a special lunch for Concierge instead of just the normal offerings on embarkation day? We're in AQ (first time) on the Equinox in July.
Yes, Concierge Class has a lunch in the Main Dining room, just for them.

It would depend on how the person I messaged was notified and when. If they were not notified until they opened the CC app, then no.

What a beautiful video. Thank you so much for sharing :)
After 25 cruises this will be our first on Celebrity. Really looking forward to it!
Very excited about our 3 day stop in New Orleans.
So not sure what to expect, this helped us picture the ship somewhat.
Thank you again!
Happy Cruising
DonnaF :D
Thanks for the very kind words and for watching. Oddly enough, we will be on the Equinox again, next month, and stopping in New Orleans for the Mardi Gras. It should be a blast.
We will be on the Equinox next month. Thanks so much for this video.Sent from my iPad using Forums
Thanks for watching. Any chance you are on the Mardi Gras cruise?

on a ten day cruise it was 30%.

Eclipse has it and for the last twenty two days it was virtually empty every day.
That is too bad that it is empty...

Good question...the probem lies with those that THINK they know more than others!
I hope i am wrong but this board is considerably less helpful/useful than it was when I first sailed Celebrity which was only 3 years ago.
I am now Elite....oh i loved saying that....not really.
I can find holes to pick holes with Celebrity without even having to try that hard, but at present they suit us just fine.
When they dont, I wont book anymore...I wont waste any time whining on boards like this which to all intents and purposes is like using a chocolate poker on the fire or p***ing into the wind.
Methinks you and I would get along well on any sailing....bon voyage
I may not agree with the positions that either of you take, but I'll bet if we were on a cruise ship, we would all find common ground at a bar and have a hoot!:):):)
AND yes, I would still be disappointed with the red wine selection, but my glass would not be empty!:)

On which "S" class ships will I find the World Class Bar? I know Equinox has it, do others?
BILL

Loved the Molecular Bar on the Silhouette and sad to see it is gone for our upcoming Reflection cruise. It was our standard meet before dinner for a drink spot. I thought the bartenders there were great and not snobby at all.
Jelena may have been your bartender...she is now a bar Manager on Equinox. She is fantastic!

Hands down my favorite was the El Don Julio:):):)
Smooth and easy.

Really nice video Bill, saves me from having to do something myself. We appreciated the help with the Calabaza tour, never would have found it w/o you. We loved Murano and had preferred 5 dinner pkg, did you use your pkg just for lunches? We would have liked to go to Murano more Fido you just like it so much that you book nights independent of the pkg? We passed your favorite bar many times but never seemed to have time to stop....next time! Thanks again for te video memory. Debbie & Dennis
Thanks for watching. We purchased the ultimate dinning package which gave us dinner each night in a specialty restaurant of our choice and both lunches that were offered on sea days. Next time try the World Class Bar...

Fantastic video, really enjoyed watching both. The taps at the end made me laugh. We sail Equinox in February and looking forward to it more every time I see reviews like this
By the way..... No 10,000 steps in 2015???? :D
Thanks for watching both videos! You are correct there were not 10,000 steps in 2015...But Rosie got a Fitbit and the rest is history. :):):)
When you are departing the ship in February, we will be getting back on for the Mardi Gras cruise.

For an upscale cruise line, the wines are very downscale!:(:(
Very disappointing experience over the last 2 years with Celebrity and wines. The same wine that I drank 2 years ago at $15.00 a glass ( I was willing to pay $2.00 overage for each glass) is now $22.00 a glass. The price of the same bottle at home has not changed in those 2 years. So, now if I drink 4 glass at $22.00 each and pay the overage of $9.00 for each glass, I just purchased the bottle at a 50% premium over retail cost and the drink package was worthless!
Solution...BYOW...Bring your own wine!:D:D = ZERO revenue for Celebrity!

VIDEO CRUISE REVIEW: Celebrity Equinox Feb. 20 - March 3, with Mardi Gras
in Celebrity Cruises

10,000 steps and I ate what I wanted...gained 2 pounds in 2 weeks! It is gone already! Thanks for watching...
Bourbon Street was very safe during the day, we did not go at night. Mardi Gras was very safe and there were many families. I did not take any valuables with me. Thanks for Watching....
We were just on Equinox in December and we were on Connie in February of 2016.
The places you mention are between 3/4 of a mile to a mile from the ship. If walking is an issue for you, Mardi Gras will not be your cup of tea...very hard to get transportation to the events and almost IMPOSSIBLE to get transportation back, once the event is finished. If you go to New Orleans at other times, getting transportation is MUCH easier. :):)
Thanks for watching...
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed the journey!:D
