Sunset.

Made it on board! With my wheelchair, they had us go up a different ramp to enter. Here was my 1st view. We went to the Windjammer. I really didn't care for the cold lobster. Shrimp was good. The accessible room is nice. It seems busier than normal but probably because we didn't arrive until noon. We could not find a table in the Windjammer but an officer found us one in the closed back area.

Last week Finnley was "teaching" her mom. If you can't understand her she is saying " what's this..... nice job" IMG_7419_1.mp4

A young lady that checked us in asked which park we were going to visit. Sharon explained that I can no longer handle the rides and said we might go to Boardwalk. This morning we were notified that a package was at the front desk for us. Sharon went down and found out the young lady gifted us the following. Sharon teared up when she saw it and gave her a big hug. To the right are bars of chocolate 🍫 For lunch we went next door to Art of Imagination. Lots of cool pictures hanging on the wall. There is a cool light hanging at the entry.

We took the skyliner... To Boardwalk.... no Monopoly played... OB, maybe I will find a real one during the cruise ......

We will be on Utopia leaving September 30th.

We made it!

We made it to the second hotel. Didn't notice any Helene damage until we got to this town, Tiffon ga. We saw roof damage and trees down. The hotel we were at has electricity but no tv or internet. We were delayed for 2 hours about 30 miles out from here. There was a wreck on the highway before crossing the river. Other than that we are still going! Tomorrow is a shorter drive to Orlando. Our friends that are cruising for the 1st time made it to Orlando today. Our regular cruise friends plan to fly into Orlando tomorrow.

I couldn't make it to the end. Not for us.

A bit of a challenge but safe travels so far. We are thankful we didn't make it a 2 day trip. Tomorrow we will travel south quicker than originally planned to avoid Helene. App shows it adds 19 minutes. Just seems wise to add a little time to the trip than to take more of a chance getting closer to Helene. We experienced good weather. Started sprinkling right when we got to the hotel.

Thankful Charlie is OK now. It's a blessing for us guys to have a caring DW to help us when needed!

Did anyone watch the new Matlock show? It's not like the original Matlock however we still liked it. We will see how it continues.

That cruise went too fast. I am thankful you had a break from all the stress. I hope you have a safe trip back home. Looking forward to your pics!

We plan to start Thursday. Thursday night we will stay west of Birmingham. Friday night in Tifton GA. Saturday night and Sunday in Orlando. Helene is adding to the challenge. Looks like it would make updating the trip here more exciting! 😆 Our cruise friends got notified that their Friday flight might get canceled. They want to take the kids to Disney before the cruise. I am hoping Helene doesn't slow down. If it keeps the current prediction, it should work out.

After today's game we should have a better understanding how they will be this season.

Our regular cruise friends are going and another couple with their 2 grandchildren. We are taking 3 days to drive to Orlando and will spend an extra night at Pop Century to rest up. Sharon and I will not go to the parks but the others plan to go.

I have seen that there could be port strikes October 1st. Looks like it will only effect cargo and not cruise. Anyone hear different? We are scheduled to sail September 30th.

Not much. We were booked to cruise Alaska last June but had to cancel. I can't fly anymore. A couple months ago we got an accessible van that I can ride my wheelchair into. We are going to take 3 days to drive to Orlando, then take a full day in Orlando to recover. We will see how it works. Y'all been doing anything?

Long time no sea. How are you doing? We are cruising Utopia September 30th. First cruise since Icon.

I just noticed that they repeat it 9/27 @ 7pm on ABC.
