I thought they just gave you 100% of your cruise fare as OBC?
since there is only 8 days free..all that we pay are the taxs. I checked on that, so it is not an OBC

So it was your TA and not Carnival who had everything done for you?
one of their reg guest was approaching 75th Milestone..they did the rest

So it was your TA and not Carnival who had everything done for you?
but I feel she was a gr8 impetus for it. The Service desk ngr..said..she got all the crew together that I have cruised with now 37 times just on that ship...had a meeting for suggestions fro them..and there ensued all the rewards..of course I sent my thank you notes to all depts..(I carry blank ty notes always)..and all the lovely things took place..starting with having me the 1st passenger on that day..was, and still in a wheel chair, have had my surgery..and doing better..hope to loose it soon

We have chosen Vista. for my100th, 8 days free (pay taxes), and the 1st leg of this B2B, to be a 6 day(to pay for).Who, besides my dear cruzin friends have already cashed in their 100th, and what special things were done for you?.. My 75th last Aug was a phenomenal 5 days! A banner with Welcome Home (my real 1st name) with Roses..on the steps, singing my name, 2 fruit baskets, wine, Champagne, extra desserts from friend Chef Jorge, ..extra pics..with special Tee shirt made for me.. I can't imagine what more...My Gr8 TA, Bonnie, was aware of all the things taking place, and Barbie, Service Mgr was in charge of the implementation of everything.. Share your experience please..thanks

About a year ago a coworker suggested the "dressing your truth" book and I absolutely love it. I've been using those concepts the last year and I've never felt so comfortable in my wardrobe.
the proper body type dressed acculturately, can shave off 15+ pounds !!!

it will go with Black..... it fits my bod type..ie: length, sleeve fit, waist fit, moves with me...makes me look younger, thinner taller, brighter, en vogue, cool, hip, pretty, swelligant, sharp, dress up or down or middle.....and of course, if I have already designed and made my own "Haute Costume" jewelry to enhance it, a bag and shoes to go with........and wrinkles very little....!!!!!! and oh yes.....mostly under $8.00...I can wear..Chicos 3, a 14, 16, 18, med lg, xl, xxl, my cruise wardrobe is always a joy to choose from..I always recognize the seasons, and dress per each. I never dry clean, but use shampoo in my basin, rinse on a hangar in the shower, drip dry, press if needed..on the wrong side, and not over seams.....pack carefully, and shower steam on ship..but......most ARE..good travel fabrics..but dont mind a quick press on board. I purge about every 2 years. I am 71 3/4y/old with 108 cruises under my life vest...about 650 days at sea.......! Found my styles at a'bout 13 y/o....sewed for myself.....a lover of any animal prints..not evening gowns..2/3 pcs ensemble for sure, 5'7", 10 shoe, 44 bust, just enuff girly parts to fill out the right places......get loads of lovely compliments..especially my makeup.3 tone silver hair W/ waves, lucky to be an old hairdresser.(I still tease n bouff). .gifted w/ great skin, and no wrinkles. Lucky, for sure

We got off today. :( We did have a hair dryer in our room (upper deck), a tube tv, and life jackets in the giant box on the floor. I thought the food was really good, and that the service in the MDR was excellent. I did order mostly from the everyday menu for dinner though. I had the crab ravioli and it was very disappointing. The desserts were all very good, and i liked the bitter and blanc and the grand marnier souffle the best. I didnt have pizza, but the sandwiches at the deli in tiffany's were really good, and the lido buffet was okay. One nice upgrade we did notice was an actual thermostat on the wall in our room, which worked great.
if the new shop vendor company did the change over..was supposed to be last of January....was not in place Jan 28th, but will be back in 3 weeks.....the shop offerings were getting very boring,,and poor selections to boot. After 38 times on her, I'm ready for new merchandise
-
over their new vending company for all the gift shops?.. I thought all of them were getting pretty stale the last 2 years.Elation was doing it end of
January..on Fas next Sat..Woohoo

Sooooo- I normally cruise with my nieces or friends. My nieces are pre teen and my friends are my age- clearly different cruises. So we have a short cruise coming up with me and my nieces and my brother (their dad) and his wife (sister in law). Apparently new wife is artsy crafty and has cruised a bit in her own right. She makes these really cool foil key chains made of bits from her past cruises. Apparently she thinks she can lay these out on her pool chair and sell them to other cruisers. I don't know of any policy that says no but that seems like a big no to me. I am sharing a cabin with a few of the kiddos and frankly I just don't want to get kicked off the boat mid cruise because she has gone all HSC on them.
...there is a form to fill out....from corp....also.. I do not sell what I make..even tho I bead in the buffet, over out of everones way..seldom asked if I sell..my answer is.. I make and sell for my land business.

Do they always do that for you?
the laundry list..I write Diamond Guest diag on it, circle on hangars, tape it closed....they pick it up, wash n dry it bring the bag back with the requested pieces on hangars, voi la. I do not send my girly things. But I got it on hangars waaay b4 I was Diamond...over 3 yrs ago. The laundry list is the same for all cabins..and is there for whatever you need done
-
yessss..there is a space to circle "ON HANGAR"....but...I fold it all very square, in a reg plastic bag..so it slides in quick n easy...I take a roll of packing tape (always)...pack it to the top..then fold n tape it closed.

You can use your dinner vouchers any time after you reach Diamond. With the Diamond gift ( leather passport cover and luggage tag ) that Carnival will send you, you will receive a letter for you to bring to redeem on the ship. If you forget it, they can check but less of a hassle if you have your letter with you.
I believe that all the extra Diamond benefits say to redeem within 18 months, but as someone at the Diamond desk told me, they are very flexible with that as it is only a one time perk.
With the cabin upgrade, you pay for one category and will be upgraded to the best cabin up. Lowest inside to best ocean view. Lowest OV to best balcony. Spa, scenic OV, extended or premium balcony not included.
Hope this helps to answer your questions.
I've been looking here for you, ..not here as much, too busy, but have 8 booked, and have my 75th with Carnival coming next month. 100 total, and more booked. Hope all is well with you.....judi

Isome, the real stuff, some that passes for real stuff, some fun, some that I make, and there's where the weight comes in!..some neck pieces weigh about a pound. I mean, Hunka hunka size. !..I am now making a collection of many aspects, I have my own show in Aug, a Reg show in my town, New Rec facility, and will get to ETSY...!..I travel the world, and buy from many source that interests me, a lot to put in to newer more exciting pieces..NO, NO steam punk !.....most is for my evening attire..and it matches several things, some, only one top/ensemble.I also rescue evening bags...My Class of '62 prom bag is one of my greatest joys.I'm now getting into Brooch bridal florals...as I have been in the floral
designer for 50 years. Been busy these last few..but will always have time to cruze, and I take several projects with me on any cruze !!!

Hi Judi
sailed with you 3 or 4 times on the Holiday. Was on last cruise. Remember several of us gathered up on deck to celebrate the last night on board. :)
you are right about the bus single decker and the location. I thought that was so neat. lol
Congrats on your 75th and approaching 100. I am now platinum and have 25 carnival cruises under my belt.(6 cruises with other cruise lines). Always come back to Carnival.
I have nine SOS's each from a different ship. Sure wish I had gotten one from the Holiday.
Would love to have a Carnival ship back in Mobile. We have been cruising out of NOLA on the Dream.
Later,
Sarah
yep, still cruzin....booked 2 this week..7 the rest of the year. Have a nice man in my life for the last year and a half..and bless Bess..he's a cruzer too!..we've done about 4/5 together and more coming. He was / is a widow, and she was a sailor and cruzer as well. We are taking her ashes on Sept cruze, per her request for commitment to the sea. We went to Spain last year to teach English then a tour of Morocco. I'm now 71..yikes where did that come from?? Tom and I do lots of road trips,,and enjoy each other immensely. His family has embraced me as a "Half Nelson". Catch me up on you and the kiddo !!!..

I am very fond of shampoo, in my bath sink..if it has a soil spot, DAWN works well..my silk things are good w/reg water..rinse well....roll in big bath towel....loop over fuzzy hanger when almost dry.Have a 100% silk
Pash from Morocco, watched them being woven. have poly ones, treat the same. my tops, also, press on wrong side and up against seams...hand washed a lined silk fancy jacket stuffed with tissue..pressed a bit..if something is beaded...lay down a thick bath towel on ironing board, press on back..the bead/etc will sink into the loops, and u get a nice flat press on the rt side. I take a water sprayer to the laundry, if bath steaming dosent quite work.always test heat of iron 1st....I have used tissue paper, or brown paper bag as sole plate buffers (no shine)...my things have lasted a very long time. going on 11 yrs for some things, but I used them seasonally..not every cruise...somethings I olny wear about 2x a year....as I cruise about a dozen times or more in a year.
