After just returning from our 4th cruise ... I stumbled on the Cruise Critic Homepage and found my way to the boards...this is just wonderful... :D ... so "HI!" to everyone....

 

I am also looking to start collecting pins from past cruises.

 

I am looking for the Carnival ----> Holiday and Elation....I have emailed Carnival Customer Service and also am watching Ebay...any help would really be great....

pins I need for my collection. This one plus the Elation and Fascination

I've been writing to ask about cruise-cards, here on the Memorabilia section

and at other CC Message Board locations but it seems no one collects cruise cards

beyond saving their own 'Sail & Sign' cards as a memento, only to be forgotten in a drawer somewhere!

 

I've recently discovered it's not that difficult to ask around among friends and acquaintances

-even in my small island community- to receive cards that turn out to be quite interesting.

 

Now that I have a few different ones (Carnival mostly)

I'm seeing all sorts of major and minor design changes that make a collection worthwhile.

As a collector, you already know that variation is the basis for all collections.

 

 

For what it's worth

After returning from a memorable cruise, most people don't throw out their cruise cards, I'm sure..

they serve as an integral part of your holiday memories.

They get stuck away somewhere, not seeing the light of day for years!

 

Anyone who's been saving their old cruise cards 'for a reason,but not quite sure just what'

might consider donating them to a collector like me? Please? :confused:

 

Are there any other cruise-card collectors? -I'd love to know!

original Blue CCL card...8yrs this past week, and Gold.all but 5 are CCL..am 353 days w/CCL, as of last week...some RCL, HAL< COSTA....yep, Concordia....NCL

I have a bunch of carnival funnel pins, the ones they give to platinum members and use to give to gold members. All are on cards just as they came from Carnival. can now be skirted by..getting/having volunteers of passengers making fools of themselves.....Game shows , ie: Hasbro, marriage, jingles, dance...all to take up an evening without expending a dime.Tho I do enjoy the Guest/employees talent show case.

after almost 90 cruzes, (about 460 days)I was cruzin when there were no lifts..(the Mayflower ):D.......it still amazes me , how many blind peeps try to get on a lift !!!! theyatomatically step forward, and dont even wait to see if there is room, and dodge n dart to squeeze in when they cant see, there is no room left for another "Sardine"..in THAT can..then are miffed that they must wait for another. It will continue !..I cruzezzzzzz

If you requested them separate, they should be separated when you board. But if not, just ask the steward and he'll take care of it for you. When we sailed last week, they got one room right, and one room wrong on the set up, but it was corrected before dinner. Piece of cake. :)

Judi,the one with the silver hair from Holiday days!!......I was the last pax off in Nov, I believe I/we were there, to toast her Goodbye!......that was my 25th w/Carnival......I"ll be on my 89th cruze, in 10 days!!!!!..Have been Diamond since TA/Magic 2011, and ALMOST "dOUBBLE"..now..close to 400 nights at sea on 12 Carnival ships, and working on 2 yrs at sea, all totaled. I'm just finishing up my jet lag from a 3 week trip to Spain, (teaching English) and a side week to Morocco.

Lots of B2B' s several TA's, and some UK trips thrown in for good measure.I'm still in Florida same town, and have a few good friends here, and many galpal cruze mates. I am cruzin in 10 from Jax, with a pal I met at my table several years back, also from NOLA in Nov w/another! I occasionally still go solo

When I'm not cruzin, I'm busy making my "hunk=a hunk=a type jewelry for e=sale. I have pics on a Flickr page, and hope to get it on line b4 Christmas.

I stumbled across CRYSTAL..and am still using it...notneven rolled it up...did find a 1"x1 1/2 one..for travel..$1.00..keep it in a small plastic jar. CVS has their own brand.......less than $6.00...no odor, not greasy, non powder, no stain..no small on body.......OP spoke of it earlier...can't be beat.. I have turned many gal pals on to it!..just apply to damp pits after shower..DONE !

A podiatrist can remove the nail properly and give you the best advice. My daughter had to have a nail removed and the podiatrist told her to just go ahead and paint the skin on that toe the same color as the rest of her nails. You couldn't even tell the nail was missing. But, DO NOT listen to me or your nail person. Get Professional advice from a foot specialist. (Again, not the gal at the beauty shop or anyone here.)

May 1st........late July pedi, she cut away the dead/loose nail, and I"m sporting my colored nail bed as the new one grows...it had healed over..so no infection threat..can't even tell !!! Biggie toe looks gr8

pants..short/long, fold at the butt line....long skirts as well....tops stay flat , tees/tanks..fold at waist.... If you inverted my bag, it would be very squared off and stand alone very neat. Odd shaped stuff..goes in a med lg tote, packed w/undies, shoes, etc..roll a board,,is face stuff jewels, meds, wine..I steam once in a while in closed shower as I get ready to hang things up. after it is worn..refold re bag, or ready to wash w/free laundry, or do pretties at home....voi la..not a chore..I do buy pretty much wrinkle free things these days.

have done some B2B and TA's....did 25 on another Carnival. and have cruzed 13 diff ships of theirs, since Fall 2006......almost a year at sea with Carnival now, 88 all totaled..with the other lines mixed in.....Would love to lump all the Carnival products together, but alas,,it wont happen. Maybe I"ll qual for double Diamond????

was 25 cruzes in by Nov '09....made me Plat in a hurry, and 1st Milestone before Diamond level was invented,2 yrs ago..I was already past 200 days+...Now....almost double Diamond, and a year at sea with just Carnival......several more lines/cruzes in the mix.totaling 87 ...and over 2 years at sea. Life is gooooooooooooooood!...Several TA's, and many B2B's. made it quick and OOOh, soooo painless..next 19 days!! WooHoo

a new ship for me out of the doen I've already sailed..and it's #60 something!

recently. I had twin/king, one on the floor, reg type, a pull down, and there was enuff room left to have a dance...and it was HC, so wheel chair could freely roll through and turn. u can book it, butnif thereis an HC res, it could poddibly be changed...it was a balony, unobstructed.....lots of counter tops closets, and a hutch with full bar setups. I was solo!

for 3 seconds..w/ the CONTRACT Dr...for me to tell him I needed a Zpak for my throat......I did get his (USA) physicians #..for my insurance. Now, I have Medical Ins. for my trips out of the country. $199per year.....very cheeep for the peace of mind.....covers my cruzin, n trips abroad. GeoBlue!

We will be on Liberty and this would have been a nice perk if we do get it.

last month on Fas7 day, w/Cory, now he is on Liberty..looking fwd to seeing him again, and Happy....gr8 idea for a perk of seating VIPS.. I have aged another year since last month..But I think we got an invite under the door..from Cory..and the seats were RSV'd with signs on the cushions for us and we showed the invite

We were supposed to be getting a new and improved loyalty program instead we got one where stuff was taken away. And for some reason at the same time in a horrible bit of timing they took away the farewell party.
