It has changed. Pick it up at the port.

I know no one knows but do you think they will break down the world cruise into sections? One year they had Los Angeles to Singapore. A bucket list trip for us.

The hotel has been more than sufficient. It is very convenient, they include a very nice buffet breakfast, the staff has been extremely friendly and helpful. We have a king size bed, separate sitting area with small couch and chair, A/C works great. TV has Netflix.
It is an older property but very well maintained. It is just a block down from the mall (we had lunch at the mall Food Hall yesterday).
We got a great deal thru Hotels.com, $800 for 5 nights. This was a lower price than booking directly or thru any other of the online sites.
I'll post some room photos maybe tomorrow.
I was amazed how nice the Food Hall was. We ate there for a few lunches.

Maybe they can give you the whole back row so you can stretch your legs out. Thank god it's a short flight, sort of. 🙂

When you get a chance would love to hear more about your hotel. We stayed down the street at the hotel used by Princess. Across from the Mall. Great location. Would love another recommendation as we would like to go back.
Thanks

Sapphire mostly good when we were on her in December. Staff amazing, food good. Captain great. Some of the cabins had heating issues. That was the only down side for us.

We were on the Sapphire for 33 days over the holidays and we were happy with the food. We did not starve. Some great, some good and some ok..

Missing the point. I have a Keurig at home. Why would I want to go through the trouble of brewing my own coffee/tea if I had a coffee card and let someone else do it for me...I'm on a cruise (ha ha).
True🙂 BUT you know there are some coffee snobs on here who can do it better. LOL

Bring a Jacket when you get off the plane. It is COLD here in Los Angeles today.

We cruised Dec. 2nd to Jan 6th and had no issues with the menus. Some changes but plenty of options. Always a fish dish besides the salmon.

The one thing we didn't like about the Royal was the elevators. Way too small. At peak times you could not get on one.

We use the medallion all the time and we have yet to get any sort of upsell from using it. I wish. Wouldn't mind a few specials directed to us. A lot to do about nothing, again.

The airport is a no brainer. Go on line and request wheel chair service from the airline you are using. The service will be from the ticket counter to the gate and from the gate to baggage claim. We use it all the time.

Just normal everyday cloths. They have the singer and dancers come out and do a love boat number. Fun but no special dress code

I think the article said they might move the USS Iowa. So does that mean 5 ships. I just hope they add additional parking. And drop the parking price would be nice. LOL

Has this already been mentioned or talked about?

This. We were on the inaugural cruise of the Disney Magic in 1998. The first voyage of Disney's first cruise ship. (The Big Red Boat doesn't count). It happened by accident as we were booked in late July, early August at a time when the ship was scheduled to commence service in March. And then that got pushed back to April. And eventually to the end of July. So while we expected to be four or five months into the routine, we ended up being first and it was a very shaky cruise. Especially in the dining department. Palo was terrific, but the effort to get a reservation was a nightmare. Wasted 2 hours of my first day on board in a line. We did get some prints suitable for framing, but I would never consider those fair trade for the quality of the cruise itself.
We were also there. Food was pretty bad from what I remember.

We have always been offered a boarding time. Will the ship be delayed?
Is there going to be some sort on inspection? Something doesn't
sound right. ALL you can do is show up when you want and hope for the best.

While we were there we walked over to the Andes Museum dedicated to the Rugby players that died in the plane crash in 1972. Easy walk and interesting Museum. We enjoyed walking the city. Would go back again.
